Rumour has it that Raheem sterling has been linked with a loan move to CCFC, i think he's 17... Fast, Skillful and is highly tipped to be the next best thing.. What do we reckon? Good signing or Not needed?

Raheem Sterling is one of the most talked-about players coming through the LFC youth system.
The talented winger became the club's third youngest player of all-time when he featured as a substitute in a 2-1 defeat to Wigan on March 24, 2012 - aged 17.
Sterling joined from Queens Park Rangers in February 2010 with a reputation for pace and flair.
He made an immediate impact when he scored on his U18s debut in a mini-derby triumph against Everton.
Though it didn't count as a senior debut, he actually played as a substitute for the first team aged 15 in a pre-season defeat at Borussia Moenchengladbach in 2010.
One of the highlights of his fledgling career came during a 9-0 FA Youth Cup thrashing of Southend in early 2011, with Sterling scoring five of the goals.
He has also represented England at youth level and helped his country reach the U17 World Cup quarter-finals in the summer of 2011.

He was a kid at QPR who had a bright future. Snapped up by Liverpool and think he has made a couple of cup appearances for them.

Think Liverpool signed him from QPR when he was 15 for about 3M would be an interesting and potentially inspired loan deal. Plays mainly on the wing but can also play upfront. My mate is a big Liverpool fan and has been saying that Sterling looks very good.

Here's hoping.

Sterling is an awesome player however he did break into Liverpool's squad last season so I think he is past the loan our stage now. I remember watching him on telly but can't place why or when. So I presume it is in the cup for Liverpool. If he is to be loaned out I would imagine it would be to top championship or lower prem team. Definately what we need a pacey season long loan prem winger

Where is the rumour from. If there is any truth in it, again it is a shame it is leaked as the competition will hot up.

Doubt it since sterling has come out and said that Rodgers wanted him on loan at swansea, and has been told that he wants him in LFC first team

Saw him once in some kind of youth cup game last season on tv. Was pretty awesome, a bit of a show off, pacey and crossed the ball ok. He would give some movement and make some chances from the wing. That said it was one performance and some league one defenders would just flatten him. Definitely a good signing if we get him, can't be any worse that bell or baker.

Got a qpr mate who was showing me videos of this lad a couple of weeks ago.. loves to take people on and has bags of talent. Why they would send him to Coventry though, from what i've seen he wouldnt struggle in the Championship. No confirmation of where the rumours from? Can't see it happening.

How did this rumour gain currency?

Will Liverpool want to cash in on him, or can we bank on him joining on loan?

From the comments above, he appears to be right on the money...

etc.... just thought I'd get in before anyone else!

Unbelievable talent, very skeptical of him coming here because I think he would fit into a Championship team easily. Seem to remember he scored 5 in a youth FA Cup game not so long ago, played really well and would tear up League One.

If he's that good he wont be sent here... not unless they want to punish him!

Seriously, where do these rumours keep coming from?

Nothing on the net about it. I heard he was wanting to try to break into the first team at Anfield this year.

I can't talk about my 2nd team? Really?

And hands up, how many on here actually knew of him before that profile was put up ? :thinking about:

Thought so.

Sorry I don't know the name of every single player of every squad of every team in the entire football leagues.

There will be absolutely no chance of this happening. There is a bit in the echo today saying how impressed rodgers has been with him. If he goes anywhere it will be a top championship team.

I would say this rumour is more than likely not true, how about any of these on loan, George Thorne (WBA), Michael Keane (Man Utd), Chuks Aneke (Arsenal) or Ravel Morrison (WHU) all surely still yet to break into the 1st team.

I must have been out of the country at the time then.

Do you have a date for that and then I can check my diary and see where I was.

I have seriously never ever heard of the bloke before and that has nowt to do with a lack of football knowledge does it. If it was in the news that Liverpool had signed a player I would have had no interest in reading about it, my being a City supporter .... and of course England supporter too.
