I’m on the radio in a bit talking about it. My wife has just said to me that people are entitled to hold different opinions to mine. Ffs but I think she’s correct. So this person who’s done a nazi salute and the other shouting racist abuse are just after attention. There are many many people who hold intolerant views about others and as someone has put above we need to get to the point where all discrimination is unacceptable. So it’s important that we engage with our friend and families and people on here to disarm and educate not belittle and ban. Within reason obviouslyI'm not quoting Hill. I reported students 3 times for racist remarks in the academic year just gone. The punishment got downgraded each time because the parents complained that 'it was an inside joke' or 'the guy they were talking about was ok with it'.
Casual racism is still racism the last time I checked.

Just found out from my daughter last year a lad in her class spent a day abusing a Jewish student: Holocaust “jokes” nazi salutes, the lot.
Got “a talking to” and “lost ten minutes golden time”. No suspension, no reinforcement to the others students how abhorrent it is.
They’re fucking lucky she’s left the school and I didn’t know about it. I’d have raised hell if I had. Absolutely pathetic response. Apparently similar has happened with use of the N word. In Earlsdon Primary FFS.
