I've looked on Google and it is only half finished on there. It looks like some are flats and some are houses. I mean dwelling units ie both.

when Portsmouth Council were trying to work out how much to lend the supporters they used a figure of 40 to 80 units

It looks like HR was capable of providing more than that.

They built on the old car park at HR, not sure they have that option at pompey? I'm quite sure it was over 100 units at HR.

outline permission was for 100 dwellings
http://www.cwn.org.uk/skyblues/2000/08/000824-stadium-meeting.htm

Cov Telegraph later reported it as 175
http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/co...back-plan-nothing-decided-yet-50003-14116935/

http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/ne...-for-highfield-road-residents-92746-13542330/

Then it was reported at 342
http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Game+on+for+housing+scheme+at+Highfield+Road.-a0119372910

so your guess is as good as mine

I think 175 was right. They were trying to get permission for more but couldn't.

Have a look on the Coventry City Council planning portal. You'll be able to see on there.

The original planning app for the demolition of Highfield Rd and outline permission for a residential housing estate, made by a certain Bryan Richardson...

http://planning.coventry.gov.uk/portal/servlets/ApplicationSearchServlet?PKID=550923

This is some interesting background, some mention of alternative sites to the Ricoh, being the Coventry Business Park (Baginton?) and Parkside.

Parkside would have been superb although it was thought the access wasn't good enough.

Parkside would of been the best option i remember when Cov Rugby club were trying to build a stadium there, also Humber Rd on the old Stoke plant would of been a good option. Who`s idea was for the Ricoh to be a bowl shaped design should of been two-tiered then we could have the option of closing the upper tiers.
