Finally dragged myself to watch the Norwich highlights, if Thomas doesn’t switch off for the 1st and kitching doesn’t brain fart for the 2nd we win that, wright had a great chance after there equaliser and EMC hit the bar, cut out the mistakes and be a bit more clinical,

It was madness. We got battered first half and extremely lucky to be 1 up. Not sure why Frank didn't see this and change things. No hindsight needed. It was obvious.
If you trust the management team to be able to have seen that first half the same way, I think you can imagine they did give different instructions at half time to adjust, the issue is we conceded within seconds... so that plan to shore up and defend the lead is instantly is out the window.

I think you have to assume good faith here but perhaps we left too much to chance - Norwich are nothing to be scared of this year, especially at home. We fancied our chances at outscoring them and we possibly should have, given the chances created. It just didn't work out.

Hasn't worked out since November. Exactly why Frank didn't last at Chelsea, apparently. Decent first season, but conceding goals for fun, start of the next. It was in an article I read, the other day. He conceded 9 in 3 games, start of the next season. Trouble is we are not scoring like we were..whilst conceeding lots.

I think we just need a tweak or two and a few players get their heads back on straight. You could say bringing in new players will upset a few, given that they put us in a fantastic position? Sakomotto was a big part of it, and now finds himself on the bench for example. Messing with what formulation worked is a risk. When Rudoni was a long term injury Asante came in and the team were magnificent. We should look to get back to what we were doing then. None the less Otis is right, Oneyki would be a strong acquisition and help Grimes in getting us over the line. Remember we are league leaders, everyone wants to beat us. Truth is we would have won at Norwich had it not been for literally giving them their goals. We are still a very good side and sense we will pick it up again starting at QPR.
We haven't been a good side for nearly 7/8 weeks.

Christ almighty give it a fucking rest. Anybody would think we're in the relegation zone.

Yeh man we should sack him, we're only *checks notes* top of the league.

To clarify, before the usual pile on, from the usual people. I don't want Frank sacked, the opposite. My post was about defensive naivety. Great trying to score 3 to 5 goals a game, whilst working. Unfortunately, it isn't at the moment.

His 2nd season at Chelsea was ruined by covid

In any season successful teams will at some point see a dip in form, and there can be a myriad of reasons for that. In our instance there has been a combination of injuries (BTA/ Rudoni), suspensions (Thomas/ Dasilva), sickness (MVE/ Torp/ Saka) and form (Grimes/ Wright) at a time of an intense fixture schedule. It is likely that the variance in form/ luck will switch back, and while I get adopting a slightly more pragmatic approach in away games to halt the winless run in the short term, it could be counter productive to attempt too big a change in tactics overall, particularly in respect of our strong home form which has continued despite the difficulties we have faced.

Results, from what I have read. Whatever, certainly needs to turn it around here, hopefully starting this weekend.
yeah he got bad results after things like Covid outbreaks in his team and other things like that

he also changed his formation at chelsea something he has done this season with varying success

They've been doing the groundwork since game 15. If we don't go up now the its the biggest failure in the history of the club etc etc......with 31 games to go 😂

People getting worked up about posters calling for Lampards head even though no-one has called for his head is classic transfer window SBT.
Almost worth brining no-one else in just to see how far the madness can go!
