Probably rusty as much as anything else.

We are to slow in our build up piss about with it at the back and want loads of touches instead of passing it through seen a bit of this second half against Leicester when Rudoni was getting in pockets of space between the box's. Grimes is far too deep and we keep trying the long switch ball from left to right.
Yes and it's always a loop left peg to the far post.Considering you feel Grimes plays too deep, it is surprising how many crosses into to box he puts in. Far more than EMC or Dasilva. When teams are building from the back it is not unusual for the main playmaker to sit deep because they like to have all their options in front of them. As we progress up the pitch so does Grimes. He is often hovering just outside the opponents penalty area.
I think Esse deserves to keep his placeI’d go with
Rushworth
Thomas Lats Kitching
Van Ewijk Dasilva
Eccles Grimes
Saka Wright EMC

Simms ahead of Wright.Didn't we go to a back 5 away at Charlton and looked absolutely awful?
Anyway, this is how I'd set us up for QPR:

Subs: Wilson, Latibeaudiere, Bidwell, Allen, Rudoni, Sakamoto, Mason-Clark, Thomas-Asante, Wright
Eccles and Torp under strict instructions not to leave Grimes isolated.
