There's a fundamental flaw to protesting at a time that isn't during the game....no bugger will be interested. The press won't give a hoot because we protested outside the ground once already. Unless we do things that are slightly controversial the media and therefore Sisu will not care in the slightest. What's better, 40 people standing outside the Ricoh shouting a bit or 10,000+ inside the ground chanting Sisu out. The media (BBC + Sky Sports) have shown a real interest in Coventry since we began to protest against the owners and that will only continue if things get bigger and better.
With regards to it putting off the players, I think it's naive to say that. People will come up with any excuse as to why they haven't done a job properly and this seems to be one of them. I've played basketball infront of 1 person before, and I've played it infront of about 400 people before, and guess what was different.....absolutely nothing! It only becomes a problem if you want to make it one. If you're a professional like these guys are you can tune out things like a bit of background noise with relative ease. Coventry have always been a terribly inconsistent side and we always have 10 minute spells of shocking play. If they're getting put off by people in the ground then they aren't concentrating enough on the field of play.
