ha ha, very funny .

I don't actually work at Axa but nearby. They keep having animal rights protesters and as much as we try to get on it is distracting. Often curiosity will get the better and so will look out of the window to see what is happening and when trying to get on is difficult with all protests

If there is booing and altercations going on in the crowd I can't believe that players wouldn't be equally distracted, they are bound to be curious as to what is happening and whilst they are looking they are not concentrating on the game.

The players are professionals, they need to act it. At least it made for a decent atmosphere, thought the Harry Roberts chants were a bit too far, but I could understand where they were coming from. ACAB.

I assume we don't mean our very own 'Arry? He was a bit before my time really, but I did see him and even had a badge with "I saw Harry score" on. Seem to remember he went to Blues after perhaps one of the older ones on here can confirm.

So being a professional completely negates any human nature.

I have a professional job which I have worked and studied hard for. Every day I work hard and to the best of my ability but on the days when the protesters come along I am distracted and curious as to what is going on. This is human nature.

Just saying players should be professional is silly. The fact is that some situations would distract anyone and at this moment in time we should be doing as much as we can to help the players, not create a difficult working environment for them.

If I was paying someone a pathetic amount of money to kick a ball around, then I'd expect them not to get distracted by something as trivial as a bit of crowd trouble.

I'd expect them not to misplace passes or lose concentration while defending but that happens too. Human nature.

There's a fundamental flaw to protesting at a time that isn't during the game....no bugger will be interested. The press won't give a hoot because we protested outside the ground once already. Unless we do things that are slightly controversial the media and therefore Sisu will not care in the slightest. What's better, 40 people standing outside the Ricoh shouting a bit or 10,000+ inside the ground chanting Sisu out. The media (BBC + Sky Sports) have shown a real interest in Coventry since we began to protest against the owners and that will only continue if things get bigger and better.

With regards to it putting off the players, I think it's naive to say that. People will come up with any excuse as to why they haven't done a job properly and this seems to be one of them. I've played basketball infront of 1 person before, and I've played it infront of about 400 people before, and guess what was different.....absolutely nothing! It only becomes a problem if you want to make it one. If you're a professional like these guys are you can tune out things like a bit of background noise with relative ease. Coventry have always been a terribly inconsistent side and we always have 10 minute spells of shocking play. If they're getting put off by people in the ground then they aren't concentrating enough on the field of play.

When you played in front of 400 people was there an air of violence in a corner directing most people's attention towards it?

I wouldn't say the few minutes of disturbance would directly affect a result either way, but there's no way it would happen and all 22 players on the pitch would completely disregard it. Some players would be completely focused, but on the other hand some would feed off what's happening around them, it's partly why they want a big support behind them (that plus it helps guarantee their wages of course)

There was a rather fat bloke with a big drum and a crowd of idiotic youths in the corner shouting "who the hell are all of you" but it's nothing you can't tune out. To be honest, I only noticed them because in basketball you have to look up a lot. Why the footballers would be looking at the scoreboard I have no idea.

If they're anything like Robbie Savage they'll be checking how their hair looks on the action replays.

I'm sorry but claiming this is the best team we have had for years is a bit premature...............W1 D2 L3............!! I like Andy Thorn and think we have some promising kids but lets not go over the top shall we, Oh and if there is to be further protest it needs to be where it can be heard not by a handful in the bloody car park. Either do it and do it loud and proud or don't bother.

Its not premature, it is a bloody stupid thing to say. Rather like the typical SISU justification or excuse we've been getting?

I think it's the most promising team we've had for a long time. Promise meaning they can improve, but looks like they will do.
As for the whole chanting thing, they did play worse when the 'fighting' kicked off, no denying that. I think the negative chanting should be before/after the game (in the ground ableit) and support the team out in front of us during said match.

At no point was anyone distracted by signs, or fans singing "We want SISU out". They may have noticed the roar when the coppers were dragging away that boor bloke who questioned the copper for not displaying his ID. Is that the protesters fault? Methinks not.

Let's remember that IF the protests do distract the players,
That it's not a game of only 11 skyblues players out there, because there is also 11 opposition players on the pitch too.
