After all with av gates of 10k, when we were getting 15k just last year, thats a MIN of 5k who agree with me.

My season ticket cost £299, I took the offer of paying over 8 months interest free works out at £38 per month from April through to November, £13 a game which I consider is good value.

I've got a season ticket for my hometown club, Fortuna Duesseldorf.
The price of the cheapest ST has been raised to £138.- with promotion to top flight this season.
A bratwurst costs £2.85 and for your tee / coffee you'll pay £2.-

Prices for food + drink are almost the same in the Bundesliga, especially as it's the same company selling everywhere. Compared to everyday life, it's quite expensive.

Ticket prices are different everywhere - cheapest single ticket with Fortuna Duesseldorf costs £10.50, there are Tickets in Schalke + Bayern Munich for around £7.- ! (all standing !)

Lots of Fortuna Duesseldorf supporters want to boycot the Leverkusen away game as those pricks want £62.- for the cheapest seat.

Also there has been formed a group (originally by Dortmund supporters) that wants football to be affordable in Germany. They want tickets prices for the cheapest standing to stay around £12.-

Dortmund supporters have boycotted the Hamburg away match last season and will do so again this season because they have been charged £17.- for a ticket.

Too expensive? If you are skint then a fiver is too much. I suppose you want good players at our club for the division we are in. If so as fans we have to pay for them. We are still one of the cheapest to watch with a season ticket though. Spread the cost out over the year and it only costs you 69p a day. If you can't afford this much you certainly are in financial difficulties.

There are hundreds of pastimes he can find apparantly. Talking rubbish on here is one of his pastimes. That's pretty cheap and entertains everyone else.

Just been looking through it all on the beeb ,there is one price structure there that is totally illogical being Hull city,£20 for a matchday or £485 for ST.
23 games @£20=£460 ,why on earth would you give them +£25 for the privelege of of holding an ST ,unless its a 30K. sellout every match.:facepalm:

I see a few Champ clubs have introduced dynamic pricing, which is the Easyjet/Travelodge etc way.

Makes sense to me and I can see it becoming more widespread. People who moan about it being too expensive won't have that excuse...

Also I see you can buy Cardiff tickets with Tesco vouchers now. IMO we should try any methods to flog more tickets.

Would be interesting to find out how many Cov fans took up the Sun's 2 for 1 tickets offer that they run yearly.

Why don't you go and support Bournemouth? Their cheapest season ticket is £108 more than ours. Or you can try their most expensive. Only £103 more than ours. The only thing they have cheaper than us is a cup of tea 20p cheaper. At least you will have a reason to moan, although I suppose they don't have a 3rd rate team So you want to pay less? And you want better players? How do we do this when you can only spend 65% of income on transfers and wages? We are the 3rd cheapest team to watch out of 24. Why not go to the two cheaper than us. There are non league clubs charging more than us. Go to one of them. You won't be missed by us. We need supporters. You certainly do not seem one to me. seems they believe we were attempting to do right by the fans (well nearly all the fans )

Wigan offer a season ticket at £255 (CCFC £253) ........... but then there are only 19 home games in a season not 23 as in League 1. That makes average cost per game Wigan £13.42 and CCFC £11.08. Is it the same quality of team or opponents no, but then again Wigan are not my team CCFC are, so i wouldnt pay to see Wigan et al anyway unless CCFC were playing them.

Cheapest day out assuming you go every week would be buy cheapest season ticket on the 8 month interest free payment deal plus a drink pie & prog each game= 19.08 per home match. Of course you could bring your own drink & food so drops price to £14.08 inc prog. All about personal choice. Choose to go or choose not to ...... choose to buy the extras or choose not to..... nobody makes you

So father 2 kids ( under 16) wanted to watch CCFC at home this season...... If they had wanted to do it the cheapest way..... how?

Buy early bird season tickets in cheapest part of ground to get best price and pay on 8 month interest free scheme
father £253
Junior season ticket price x 2 = £230
Bring own food and drink
Get mother to drop at ground so no car parking (or catch a bus)
Prog every game (share) = £69

Could be cheaper for kids if in JSB

Total cost £552 for the year or £24 for three to go watch each home game.

If cost was a real issue then more people would do this, do a bit of research work out the best value and take it ..... if CCFC was that important to them ........ instead of claiming costs of £60 for every home game ........... it costs £60 because you choose it to, thats not the clubs fault.

Whilst you're right you've made the assumption that people can attend every game, so the cost per game analysis is only half right.

Hear what you say but they sell it as a package to see every home game ......... if circumstances or choice affect the ability to attend it isnt the clubs fault .............. and there is a scheme to purchase a limited number of games that you choose which to go to and the cost is still not a lot higher. Certainly doesnt have to be any where near £60

For a 12 game package it works out at £16 adult £8 junior

All about choice and taking responsibility for own decisions in my opinion. I realise some people just dont have the money.

we have one of the highest unemployment rates in the country so that must have some bearing on take up,i don't know if there is some concession that could be given there ,could it generate an extra 1000 bums on seats
Its worrying that with these observations from the beeb coincide with a call to reduce the prices fans pay while the experts predict the latest increase in the TV deal will evaporate into player salaries ,oh for some sanity.

Yea junior tickets are £69 for JSB members with a £20 membership fee, so with 2 kids save another £70 if they are JSB

Also if they are under 7 they get free entry if they are a JSB

So Wigan are cheap by Premier League standards. I assume therefore in your price elastic world to prove your point you will now reveal they are the most supported club in the league. If they are not it then proves price is not a major factor at all.

There is no doubt that football as a whole is overpriced.
I had an email today offering match day ticket for the Notts county game priced at £22.
Now that's not value for money and I wouldn't pay that for a game in league one.

If it was say £26 a ticket then you could buy family members or friends with you up to 3 more at reducing rates then that may encourage more to turn up during hard times. Example £26 reducing to £22, £20 and £18 representing a saving of £18 for a family or groups of 4 and all paid on the same card.

In the USA I always had a 'family plan' for mobile phones. Each family memebr worked off the same number of minutes, data and text plans as a combination. That way they had 4 clients instead of one. Yes the discount made it work but they had a family all signed up! Here in the UK I can't find anything like that....what a missed opportunity by phone companies!

I run my company on similar lines without comprimising the product on offer.

Maybe if we finish in the top half, or better, then there may be a case for a slight increase, Its my belief that we were getting what we were paying for, and things need to significantly improve to justify an increase.

Understand what he's saying and I do agree tickets should be cheaper, but doing it this way won't help. It will just bloat the other market and the same thing will happen there too. The solution is easy really. Wage caps, salary caps etc. the problem is the people in charge won't do it.
