I've got a season ticket for my hometown club, Fortuna Duesseldorf.
The price of the cheapest ST has been raised to £138.- with promotion to top flight this season.
A bratwurst costs £2.85 and for your tee / coffee you'll pay £2.-
Prices for food + drink are almost the same in the Bundesliga, especially as it's the same company selling everywhere. Compared to everyday life, it's quite expensive.
Ticket prices are different everywhere - cheapest single ticket with Fortuna Duesseldorf costs £10.50, there are Tickets in Schalke + Bayern Munich for around £7.- ! (all standing !)
Lots of Fortuna Duesseldorf supporters want to boycot the Leverkusen away game as those pricks want £62.- for the cheapest seat.
Also there has been formed a group (originally by Dortmund supporters) that wants football to be affordable in Germany. They want tickets prices for the cheapest standing to stay around £12.-
Dortmund supporters have boycotted the Hamburg away match last season and will do so again this season because they have been charged £17.- for a ticket.

Too expensive? If you are skint then a fiver is too much. I suppose you want good players at our club for the division we are in. If so as fans we have to pay for them. We are still one of the cheapest to watch with a season ticket though. Spread the cost out over the year and it only costs you 69p a day. If you can't afford this much you certainly are in financial difficulties.

Is it your time of the month again? Why don't you go and find another pastime which only costs you 69p a day where it fills up so much of your life as your football club. Just been looking through it all on the beeb ,there is one price structure there that is totally illogical being Hull city,£20 for a matchday or £485 for ST.
23 games @£20=£460 ,why on earth would you give them +£25 for the privelege of of holding an ST ,unless its a 30K. sellout every match.:facepalm:

Makes sense to me and I can see it becoming more widespread. People who moan about it being too expensive won't have that excuse...
Also I see you can buy Cardiff tickets with Tesco vouchers now. IMO we should try any methods to flog more tickets.
Would be interesting to find out how many Cov fans took up the Sun's 2 for 1 tickets offer that they run yearly.

Why don't you go and support Bournemouth? Their cheapest season ticket is £108 more than ours. Or you can try their most expensive. Only £103 more than ours. The only thing they have cheaper than us is a cup of tea 20p cheaper. At least you will have a reason to moan, although I suppose they don't have a 3rd rate team
So you want to pay less? And you want better players? How do we do this when you can only spend 65% of income on transfers and wages? We are the 3rd cheapest team to watch out of 24. Hear what you say but they sell it as a package to see every home game ......... if circumstances or choice affect the ability to attend it isnt the clubs fault .............. and there is a scheme to purchase a limited number of games that you choose which to go to and the cost is still not a lot higher. Certainly doesnt have to be any where near £60
For a 12 game package it works out at £16 adult £8 junior
All about choice and taking responsibility for own decisions in my opinion. I realise some people just dont have the money.

we have one of the highest unemployment rates in the country so that must have some bearing on take up,i don't know if there is some concession that could be given there ,could it generate an extra 1000 bums on seats

I've always said our ticket prices were very reasonable in comparison with others, wouldn't fancy paying £300 plus to watch league 1 football in some of the shit hole grounds in this league

Yea junior tickets are £69 for JSB members with a £20 membership fee, so with 2 kids save another £70 if they are JSB
Also if they are under 7 they get free entry if they are a JSB

So Wigan are cheap by Premier League standards. I assume therefore in your price elastic world to prove your point you will now reveal they are the most supported club in the league. If they are not it then proves price is not a major factor at all.

If it was say £26 a ticket then you could buy family members or friends with you up to 3 more at reducing rates then that may encourage more to turn up during hard times. Example £26 reducing to £22, £20 and £18 representing a saving of £18 for a family or groups of 4 and all paid on the same card.
In the USA I always had a 'family plan' for mobile phones. Each family memebr worked off the same number of minutes, data and text plans as a combination. That way they had 4 clients instead of one. Yes the discount made it work but they had a family all signed up! Here in the UK I can't find anything like that....what a missed opportunity by phone companies!

reflect the low performances, results, and general Dog Eared
Appearance of the club over the last few years.
Now is not the time to talk of an increase in ST prices, Just as it appears that the "Green Shoots"of recovery appear to be Pushing through the Top soil, its going to take an amazing effort by The Manager, coaching staff and players to turn round the fortunes of a Club that was very near sunk.
Maybe if we finish in the top half, or better, then there may be a case for a slight increase, Its my belief that we were getting what we were paying for, and things need to significantly improve to justify an increase.
