Typical CCFC fans already slating him because his name isn't Erick Black.

Fool.

I have it direct from SISU that Steven Pressley is an anagram of Eric Black.

he played for
queens park
st johnstone
dunfermline
rangers
falkirk
ayr utd
then managed
east stirling
st.mirren
aberdeen and came to england, the rest is history.
Pressley may not be the next Fergie, but then who knows
just because he comes from scotland and their football is not the best at the moment, what have we got to lose.we may not have a club come May

Think you got the wrong bloke mate, he played for two of those teams.

Falkirk manager before Pressley was John Hughes - now at Hartlepool and has worked wonders there since his appointment. Don't if there is any relevance mind you.

You'll probably find it's just people on here

I disagree I think most cov fans will be massively under whelmed.

If he gets the job I will back him however I am amazed when I look at his record that he is in the last two.

Why? The average manager has a win record of less than 50%

By your rationale we wouldn't take David Moyes at a piss poor 42% win record.

I take it that wasn't meant for me.

I have no interest in win ratios it's a load of tosh.

You have to look at the whole picture

And we are going for a manager that we will have to pay compo for who is currently in charge of a team who are 5th in league one and he has done nothing in his managerial career so far

Well, you never know. I was underwhelmed with the appointment of Robins and look how that turned out.

The wrong appointment, I feel. But it will be interesting to see how he does.

It was you who used his record (and unless you've got a good knowledge of Falkirk then win ratios is all you can go on) to justify that the appointment was 'underwhelming' you wally

Sure. No manager should ever be pre-judged. Success or failure seems to be randomly assigned. Mind you, this does remain a curious choice, especially given the movement of the bookmakers these past couple of weeks ...

The last time the fan's choice was given the job he turned out to be a dreadful manager.

Seriously though, who were people expecting to come in? Roberto Di Matteo, Nigel Adkins?

If I remember rightly, Barnsley fans hardly gave glowing reports of Robins...

Falkirk must have one of the lowest budgets in the SPL and are competing against teams they're never gunna keep up with. Gotta be patient with this one.

WhO was dreadful? Micky Adams? He was not dreadful

I agree, Adams was not dreadful at all. He was hardly the fan's choice though, it was a PR stunt by the club after the sacking of Black and a way to avoid themselves of any blame.

I was thinking of the more recent fan's favourite...
