Hate SISU ? Who are now being praised for bringing in Steve Pressley, well their man Waggott is. Is this the same Steve Pressley who's appointment was received with general derision bt many on here, just go back to the threads at the time and look. The SISU I have utter contempt for are the cowboys, and girl, who run our football club, taking it out of it's city 35 miles away and for what ? No economic sense at all depriving the likes of my two little grandsons the chance to watch and see a winning team and one likely to be challenging at the right end of this division over £200k a home game. The SISU who still haven't submitted it's accounts leaving us in a transfer embargo hampering the manager in any attempt to bring in new blood. The other crowd in this debacle are not blameless, of course their not, but it is the cowboys running the football business who have made this Sixfields decision, and I believe have snookered themselves and can't find a way out of it without losing face hence the sidelining of Tim Fisher.

Exactly. I never get the "freebies" argument. No, not every freebie good, but a lot are. Leon? Moussa? Similarly paying a fee for someone doesn't guarantee a great player. If the player is the right player then he's the right player regardless of whether he was free or not.

Like when we bought Freddie Eastwood you mean? Or Chris Dunn, Cody McDonald?
Why buy something if you can get something just as good for free? No point spending for the sake of it.

A conspiracy theorist might suggest the lack of funds and relegation from the championship was deliberate....then the withdrawing of rent trying to distress ACL...League 1. You can buy your way out....no surely not?

As mad as a moon landing in Texas.

The lack of funds in the relegation season weren't as bad as many make out, the wage bill pretty much mid-table(as was proved from the eventually published accounts).

Appointing Thorn as manager, and sticking with him would point to a deliberate strategy of relegation though, unfortunately in collusion with the majority of fans as well.

Even if those owners are allowing the management & coaching staff to achieve their goals by supporting them & their ideology?

you could argue that because of sh1tsu's miss-management of the club since they arrived the only option left open to them was to employ someone with SP's ideology. they were never ever going to employ a manager who wanted a big budget (for division 1) to compete because they simply didn't have this option available due to the inept management.

a master stroke by sh1tsu, NO. all the master strokes have came from SP and Waggott.

shitsu must have made 1000's of decisions regarding the club since they took ownership and i'm struggling to come up with more than 2 good ones, employing Waggott and SP.

Thanks Lord. Wonder what the player wage bill was. Does go to show the urgent need to address the wage bill, structure and bonus's. Should have done this as soon as they took over.

There is no doubt about that, but instead they tried Ray Ranson's pump money in to get promoted method. The only way that was going to work was to stick with it. I recollect the example of Birmingham in the mid 90's, the Gold brothers & David Sullivan pumped money in for years till they finally managed to get into the premiership.. its an expensive mistake if you fail.. (or in their case have Trevor Francis & Barry Fry as managers, LOL).
