He has underperformed. The 'investment' whether or not we think it is good enough is better than a lot of teams in our league. Most of those are performing better.

At some point surely a football manager has to be somewhat accountable for the failings of the team he manages, regardless of circumstance.

Talked a good game, but sadly it just didn't work.
Crap/cheap players were recruited to replace good ones, and this is the unsurprising result.
He is not the only one to blame though.....

Lets be fair, he's a good bloke and I don't doubt that many wanted him to be a success at the club, which may have given him more of a chance with the fans than others would have got.

Yes he had to work under some financial constraints and yes his sacking will put him out there as a scapegoat by the owners in some regards - but the bottom line of it is that it's a results business and as results stand Coventry City will be in league two next season which is entirely unacceptable. He's had ample opportunity to get it right but has made a rod for his own back recently with odd press conferences and strange tactical decisions. I do wish him all the best for the future though.

The owners need to get an experienced manager in and they need to do it sharpish, I don't know whether getting Hockaday in was always a part of the masterplan but hopefully he isn't being lined up to take charge. I think that ultimately he will do, as who worth their salt would really want to work for SISU?

I think we did... but never realised how much Leon Clarke contributed. He was the catalyst for so much we did.

Can't fault his effort but you certainly can fault his Football and Man Management credentials. Very happy that he has been given the boot although this will no doubt be a temporary relief. Waggott and Fisher have about as much knowledge about picking the correct manager as a chimp does flying a plane.

Thank Fuck for that. Fuck the wanker. nothing will replace the hard earned money Ive spent on the club to watch the inept tactics this season. I think one shot on goal averages at costing me 40 quid a pop.

Sadly it wasn't all his fault. I look forward to bakes slotting one home on Saturday and rubbing the shit decisions them fucking monkeys at the top have made in order to fund their court appearances.

Regardless I'll be 110% behind the lads on Saturday and I hope whoever is in charge can put them in the positions they like to play for a change.

Correct decision, sadly to a good bloke whose heart was in it, but couldnt get the best of his players.

Whilst working under SISU must be like having both arms tied behind your back, it will be interesting to see if harmony increases in the camp, and to see if the performances from many of our under performing players actually improve under a new manager, and whether with the disharmonius relationship now severed if they actually can get their arses into gear and play well.

Spot on. SISU are shit owners but at the level we are at it appears we have a budget that should, at the very least, see us comfortably in the top half. Two things really stood out for me, the number of opposition managers and ex pros who have made comments about how we should be doing better with the squad we have and the number of players who aren't much good for us but leave and have a sudden upturn in form.

Not a fan of chopping and changing but there's little option really as we're clearly headed for L2. Assume we'll get Hockaday until the end of the season and if he keeps us up I expect he'll still be in charge next season.
