Lampard said ref Allen that he'd 'had direct experience of it himself'. I know that he lost his mother when playing so it sounds like the same for Allen. Still young, still unexpected and still a shock for him, but when there was quiet around 'close family bereavement' and all the support, I was more concerned that it was his wife or child. Still awful for him of course and not for me to compare, but I'm sure you get my point.

I thought I'd already read elsewhere that Jamie Allen had lost his mother but yeah I think Lampard's comments confirm it.

Wow. He wasn't impressed with the way she was talking to him like a c**t.
And you saying Clive always asked deep meaningful questions? I am possibly old-school, and unintentional expect women to be twice as good as men in regards to anything football related, not other things, but she is already twice as good as Clive in the interview department.

I thought it was fine. She is clearly wary of Frank but all the questions were relevant and what you would want asking.
Did she ask Frank if he had played with Terry Yorath at one point though

At least she asked decent questions, and we heard about the injured players and we now know that theres a possibly another player could come in.

Clive would just talk about the fans!

Deepest sympathy for Jamie,I lost my Mum at a very similar age to Jamie... always a strange anniversary for me as she died on the same date as my eldest Son's birthday.
Glad to hear he's getting great support from F.L. and the players.

Never a great time, I'm lucky to still have mine, dreading when it does happen, but it is at least the natural order of things as I cant imagine losing children, which is always wrong.
