Going on recent performance, they wont give Man City anywhere near the game Newcastle did yesterday.

Haaland against van Dijk and Alexander-Arnold could be carnage

Liverpool just can’t get a foothold in the game.

Their bench looks extremely weak as well.

You have to say Man U have had a great first half and could, and probably should, be more than 1-0 up.

I'm sure he'll get his injury list in there somewhere as well.

I would recommend to 19 other premier league teams attackers to just run at TAA. And put him on his left.

Gyokeres vs TAA.

Thiago is a massive loss for Liverpool. Their midfield is shite without him.

The manager must want him out. Not playing him tonight deliberatley pushes that ego towards taking one of the mediocre offers he has been getting before the window closes next week.

A huge drain on the wage bill more than anything else. £25 million a year

Was listening to the BBC North West correspondent and he said that the squad was much more relaxed on their trip to Australia which Ronaldo never went on and the mood changed when they got back to Carrington. They'd definitely be better off without him.

Yes but how many extra shirts do they sell with him at the club?

Undoubtedly, can't believe it's ever been in question, he simply can't play this style of football.

There's a few like that (De Gea & Maguire obvious examples); high profile, decent players in their own way & will possibly put up decent numbers because they're playing the way they want to/are able to but in the long term it's to the detriment of the team.

This is the problem for teams like United, Everton etc. they have no identity/model to recruit & build around so you end up with square pegs in round holes & the downfall is inevitable.

Shouldn't matter anyway. That's Adidas' money.

I always thought he was probably the best player in the world, and that was the only reason his toxic attitude could be tolerated. He has slipped now though, and he isn't head and shoulders above everyone else anymore. That same ego is still there though, and it's causing problems. I can completely believe what you have posted.

He was the talisman in the highest scoring real madrid side ever under mourinho , they played counter attacking football ?

United win ratio at the end of last season is 48. 5% with Ronaldo and 21 4% Without

I reckon the problem lies elsewhere

Fernandes reminds me of that Portuguese barman you get in some holiday resort hotel where all he does is try and fuck your wife when you go to the toilet, then when gets rejected tries to take an unsuspecting 19 year old into the back office and the end of his shift.

Horrible c**t.

He's a different player now, doesn't have the legs he used to.

Their problems definitely go deeper than him but he's preventing their rebuild by putting up mediocre stats and preventing the development of a modern style of play.

Which is all well & good if you think he's good enough still to build a team around & play to suit him.
