What a waste of money Adam Armstrong has been so far, doesn’t even get on in a game like this

Not surprised at all. Said it last season, the stuff he was doing for Blackburn was never going to be replicable in the PL.

Frostie said:
It's easy to pick fault in Armstrong's game though too, which I know seems crazy...

If you look at his goal tally vs his xG they are almost identical i.e. he scores about the same amount of goals as you'd expect from the chances he's had. Elite strikers typically slightly exceed their xG by converting some of the tougher opportunities.
Armstrong's goal tally is massively swayed by the sheer amount of shots he takes. He averaged an incredible record 4.7 shots per game in the Championship this season, smashing the previous record high of 3.9 but he takes a lot of long range, low quality shots. Is that him being selfish or because the team doesn't create enough? Either way, Blackburn rely on him too much - he scored 43% of all their goals & his chances alone made up 39% of their total xG!
He also missed 23 'Big Chances' which was the most in the league.

No doubt he's an exceptional player at this level, but these are the kind of things Premier League teams will be looking at to decide if he can make the transition.

I still haven't forgiven him for bottling that penalty against Italy.

You would imagine that now he actually takes a few penalties for his club he might be better at it.

they need to stick with a manager and let them build. they're past the sign one or two big names and everything will be fine point.

They need to sign players for the style of play not sign players and try to find one.

Looks like they’ve been signing who their shirt sellers want rather than the manager

A point for Burnleh enough to add interest to things.

Edit: Now Everton are in trouble!

Everton knackered now for me , didn't expect Burnley to get the points they have.. Everton run in too hard

Was just looking. They both have to play Watford, but Burnley have two games against wobbly Villa. Never particularly “wanted” it , per se, to be Everton, and there’s no doubt that they’d absolutely walk all over the championship. We’ve seen more surprising escapes though

You don’t really want to be heading to Anfield after slipping into the bottom 3.

Think it’ll go to the last game, Burnley’s run in not easy either

Not a quality team, watching this game, but you can see the Burnley players are proper scrapping for it.

Really hope everton go down. A trip to goodison park next season wouldn’t be too bad! My mate is a liverpool season ticket holder and i’m going with him today - will be an interesting game as both teams are in desperate need of a win

Definite 6 pointer. Would Everton dare attack? Soon as they go forward it’ll be a Liverpool goal.

Their game in hand is Palace at home, so would probably pack everyone behind the ball and hope for the best

Hmmm, but they have a game in hand, until tomorrow anyway vs Palace. Good thing Villa had a new-manager bump otherwise they'll be in trouble as well.

Leeds also still have Chelsea, Man C and Arsenal to play and their GD is far worse than the others. Could be a very entertaining final day.

They said on the radio that this bloke at Burnley has taken the handbrake off and somebody said the players were fed up of fightball.
