I would have thought the Spurs player that pushed his head forward there should seen more than yellow and Jolinton just pushed the bloke over.

The qeues at the spurs stadium must be terrible. They're kicking off the second half with the ground half empty.

Zaha just made a mockery out of about 4 Arsenal players there.

Not Premier League, but Blackpool keeper just took a knee to the head getting the ball. He's been down for well over five mins getting treatment.

Not Premier League but in the champions League, Phil Foden has been incredible! Needs to be in the England squad more, not seen an English player like him for a long time

Certainly, but there's no reason you couldn't have both in the team, especially if we play Kane as a loan striker with three midfielders supporting. With Sterling all the attacking midfielders would play together at club level.

So, not including the back four I'd go first choice:

Rice Bellingham
Sterling Foden Grealish
Kane

As back up you've got JWP/Phillips as the slightly deeper midfielders, Smith-Rowe/Saka/Sancho/Mount/(Maddison) for attacking midfielders and Abraham/Watkins/DCL as strikers.

I think that's a pretty strong squad attacking wise.

And yet Athletico took it on themselves to kick fuck out of Grealish. Is he known for having a short fuse?
Forden the best of the current crop of young, attacking English midfielders for me.

I suppose it is because grealish often dives and is easy to pick on as he doesn’t put up much of a fight. Foden might hit them back whereas grealish wouldn’t

Huge game at the bottom tonight. Everton need to win as I struggle to see them pick up many more points before the end of the season

It would be hilarious if Frank Lampard’s Everton went down, I’m hoping Burnley beat them.

I wanted to see Burnley go as they will have real problems if they come down but to see Everton go it would be hilarious after all that money spent.

I suppose if Everton get relegated Boddy can show his sycophants their accounts as well as Stoke City

“without joy at the helm we could have been Everton”

What’s wrong with Stoke the Coates family must be one of the richest in the country and only seem keen on putting money into the club

They’ve still got to play Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man Utd,the six fingers twice and Watford and Brentford and Palace.
Don’t see them picking up many points tbh!!

Overall you'd have to say you'd rather have Burnley's run in than Everton's.

Everton need a relegation to sort their shit out. They've spunked millions on dross and their owners are pants

Not sure relegation would do it. They need owners with a clue about football. I said back in June that they'd be in for a tough ride.

Fair, but it worked for the likes of Villa, Leicester, Wolves. Now solid prem teams

Yeah, can work for some as they are forced to get rid of dross they can't afford & rebuild.

Everton though are so badly managed, they have absolutely zero idea what they want to be or direction they want to take.
End up signing loads of players that don't really fit a system & then chop & change managers who are all different in style too. All whilst splurging hundreds of millions. They're exactly the sort of club who won't have factored in relegation clauses etc. either as they're so pig headed to think it was never a concern.
Recipe for disaster.

Thought Everton would be OK, but after last night...?

Often the way (guess I like the underdog) but don't really want either Everton or Burnley to go down really. Burnley could be in a total mess if they go down, too.

I was chatting to an Evertonian at work and he reckons they've got no relegation clauses in the players' contracts. His words were "We'll be like Sheffield Wednesday". I didn't say that Cov (who were the last team relegated with a tenure of over 30 years) were a better comparison!

I think Sunderland might be a decent comparison given the way the 2 clubs are managed. Average players on huge contracts, no design on what they want to be. That led to back to back relegations for Sunderland... Surely couldn't happen to Everton though?!?

If this stays the same and Norwich beat Burnley tomorrow the bottom three will be about sorted.
