Gyokeres is just not in the game, Arsenal are the wrong team for him. I thought they'd be a perfect fit but they're not.
He must be very frustrated.

It feels like hes never trying to get infront of the defender when the balls crossed in though .. feels like hes marking konate rather than the other way around

Is that confidence? Tbh Arsenal can be so indirect it's hard to know when they will decide to actually cross it

I'm really not sure if its a system issue, because whenever Merino plays there he scores.

I think it's a player not suited to the system. Perhaps he's not that good though as he should be able to adapt

We play a similar system. Perhaps Vik would benefit from some advice from Simmo about getting on the end of crosses

Couple of occasions in this game when they’ve squared it back to the pen spot where you’d hope he’d be standing to put home. Then when he is stood in that better position they’ve played it across the face. Frustrating hell. Saka doesn’t do a lot of looking up though.

Surely thats a penalty? I guess the only reason it couldnt be is hes played the ball far away from him. He's never catching it.

Watch how deep Gyokeres is when Liverpool are in possession, Arsenal have practically 10 behind the ball.

Is that the first time Arteta has ever been booked for leaving his tech area? He’s done it for years, despite the Arsenal ones being the size of Russia.

Shameful from a player who has his own injury problems

Would love nothing more than Arsenal to bottle it again this year to see Piers Morgan’s little sour face. Wanker. Add Martinelli to that list now.

Prick.

Absolutely awful game of football, I know the weather wasn’t great, but just two teams passing the ball around, boring as fuck.

Vik looks out of his depth, would be more suited to a lower table team.

Arsenal are horrible bunch, never liked them since Wenger was in charge. Martinelli is an absolute prick. Hope anyone buy them win the league.

Wenger got lots of shit but Arteta has achieved no more really despite spending significantly more. Wenger had the nouveau rich Chelsea then City to contend with.

Arteta PPG 2.01, Wenger 1.96 (higher in his first ten seasons)

Arsenal & Arteta are hard to like & at times they are not good to watch, I would rather Villa won the title

He used to have them playing really nice football but then they got good at corners and it's all about winning corners for them now.

Helps that so many teams go along with cramming their own box and play into the tactics. Recall teams leaving players up against them in some European matches and they looked clueless about what to do in response.

Why have Everton tried to appeal Keane's red card for hair pulling and why are they surprised it's been rejected? Moyes is going on as if it's some huge miscarriage of justice?

Keane yanked the guys dreads ffs, it's a stonewall red!
