That's the face you do when you watch two girls one cup for the first time.

He's a decent player, been horrendously unlucky with injuries. Unfairly maligned for being an ugly bastard.

Trippier is a decent signing for Newcastle he would have improved a lot if sides in that league.

It’s a good deal for them but I think they will need a few more yet.

They are looking at Luca Digne and Everton value him at 30m but if they pull that off they will need probably a CB, CM and an Almiron replacement

It's all very well signing a lot of good players but getting them to gel into a team quickly will be a challenge. Really hope they are relegated as it is appalling that they are backed by such a terrible regime.

That shouldnt be a reason for wanting them relegated, some people hate our owners dont want us relegated, some people hate PSG’s owners and dont want them relegated.
At the end of the day Newcastle football club has no links to the regime that the owner has, the owner holds power over the club not the club over the owner.
although it would be hilarious if they got relegated

Coutinho to Villa till end of season confirmed according to Talksport. Could be a brilliant signing if he’s still got the hunger and Gerard builds the team round him.

Chris Wood signs for Newcastle

Only reason this signing makes sense is to weaken Burnley as a relegation rival. Shithouses!

Decent signing for Newcastle short term, not least for the reason you say. However I don't get what's in it for the player. If they get relegated he's playing in the Championship next season. If they don't get relegated he will be replaced by a much bigger name player next season.

Well their fans seem to have embraced it and made light of it. They’re a bunch of scumbags so it’s hardly a surprise.

Be interesting to see what Burnley do with it as their manager is always saying they are light on numbers.

The fans were campaigning for Ashley to sell the club to them for months knowing exactly what the potential owners represented. They 'celebrated' by turning up in Arab fancy dress.

I'd like to think if someone like that wanted to take us over as much as we're desperate to get rid of SISU there would be objections. Not welcoming them with open arms.

If rich Saudis too us over I'd stop my wife from driving and chop up any critical Telegraph journalist in tribute.

£25 million, Burnley should be laughing their way to the bank. Which their chairman will, Dyche won’t see any of it

Burnley v Leicester off the home team don’t have enough players and don’t want to play until they have signed a replacement for Wood.

The Premier League have made a rod for their own backs with their interpretation of the "14 available players" thing.
Leicester have 1 Covid case yet are able to call off games whilst players are injured & at AFCON whilst selling other first team players & also loaning out youngsters who could play.

I don't mean for the Burnley game btw, I was talking more specifically about the Everton fixture as I know this one was at Burnley's request but point still stands.

Yeah exactly, it's a farce. I don't even blame Arsenal, everyone else is doing it, it's the way the PL have chosen to implement it.
Arsenal have 88 professional players on their books.

How on earth do a club the size of Arsenal not have enough players to field a team with one covid case?
