Just seen the villa decision , at what point do officials have to pay for their terrible decisions and what's the point in VAR if thats disallowed

Couldn't give a flying fuck who finished where, but I've got two hundred pounds quid on my way due to the Super Six.

Just need to decide which colour gazelle runners I go for!

Conference league might be a blessing in disguise for them. It's a bit like the Carabao cup without the top 6 in it.... good chance they'll do well in it and maybe even win it.

Too busy sucking each other off and protecting each other.

There will come a day where it's proved how corrupt the Refs are.

Can't believe they televise the managers chat to the stadium

Almost as cringe as when Fergie told the fans to support Moyes.

If they ever did slip down a league, it would be brilliant, their "fan base" would dissolve.

Fair enough.

From a footballing point of view, that was a honking decision for their "goal".

It's a shocker for sure.

Unfortunately, I'm not overly surprised about there being a really high profile error in the PL this weekend with 10 games played simultaneously. We simply don't have enough quality, experienced referees.

Didn't villa stay up a few seasons ago when goalline technology failed?

The suggestion that one bad refereeing decision is what cost them a CL spot in a 38 game season is so petty it’s laughable.

Tbf, I don't care about Villa, it's more the integrity of the game. It's hard to not suspect there's high levels of corruption which like some have said, the refs have all the help in world now.

Apparently VAR couldn't get involved with that cus the ref blew before the ball hit the net? Get the fuck out of here. The prices wanna wait 2 mins before flagging/blowing for an offside.

Sorry, but I don't buy the corruption angle at all.

What I think there is is a VAR system that isn't fit for purpose being used by officials that are clueless and overseen authorities that change the rules and procedures every 5 minutes to try and make it look as though things aren't quite the calamity that everyone can see they are.

Agreed on that front too.

With the corruption side, I don't think it's as simple as letting 1 team win and the other lose, I mean more bookies getting involved with Refs giving/not giving cards to players etc, so market betting rather than outcomes. Obviously, I don't know for sure but there's often a lack of cards etc.

There are much easier ways for a ref to make money on a game than disallowing even a semi-contentious goal.

“All the help in the world” will not help refs reach decisions that everyone can agree are correct. We should stop pretending that VAR and other pauses to the game can change that.

Matheus Cunha close to joining Man U for £62.5M, surely better options out there for him.

What I don't get about that is they've booted Rashford and about to do the same to Garnacho for attitude issues, yet they'll spunk £60m on Cunha who's had 2 bans for poor behaviour this season and been obviously angling for a move. Not exactly the kind of guy I'd want when they're trying to rebuild, he'll probably want out again in a season or two if they don't get champions league or win trophies.

And you wonder how the 200 staff they sacked after the final loss will be feeling seeing £60m go out the door a few days later...

Horrific, and intentional. Again
