It's either that, or you book them both surely?

Free kick wasn't taken, so the ball is not in play when the offence is committed

Just said the same, thought they were both at it, so a yellow for both would have been fair.

Can you be booked for a high boot on your own teammate?

Surely that can't be disallowed? Why did VAR even question it?

Why on earth was that even sent to on field review? Just drama for the sake of drama, had no effect on the keeper.

The fact Sa didn't immediately react, I think that shows he thought it was fine

So it's alright to inpede the keeper just as the cross comes in and get away with it or only if your a big club .If that had been the other end it would have been disallowed.

It is a bit shit, but Silva cannot be offside when he was "tussling" with the keeper, as it was a corner and you can't be offside from a corner, only when Stones headed it was he in an offside position, by which time he was clear of Sa and not in his eye line.

Someone tell me if I am wrong, but as far as I can tell, by the letter of the law, it was a legit goal and not offside.

Yeah he moved away from the keeper, Sa had a clear line of sight.

Pretty much, I think.

They had to take it from the Stones header, and by that point Sa wasn't being impeded. He clearly saw it, moved towards it, and nearly saved it. At that point, he's obviously not impeded and Silva isn't considered as having an impact on play.

He wasn't set when he was fighting off Silva was he and Silva squatting out of the the way of the header?

I like the look of Sancho in the ball, still a potential option for England?

In real time it looked like a save. No why ref should have given it and then spent so long looking at it
