I can’t call them this season, as crazy as it sounds Chelsea always seem to pull a League title or a European Cup out their arse when they seem to be going through a time of crisis so nothing would shock me

Still think Poch is a weird appointment for all parties though and that if he fails there his stock will be dramatically low

The problem remains the lunatic owner who clearly hasn’t learned from last season. As for Brighton, really hope they can go one better and interested to see how Joao Pedro gets on.

Gone well for United. Made better by French Gary Neville on co-comms.

Sheffield United are going to give Derby’s points record a run for it’s money this season, N’Diaye and Berge flogged a week before the season

Luton will finish above Sheff U easily I think

Although I seem to remember reading they were at real risk of administration had they not gone up so probably expected they are selling

Arguably their only 2 Prem ready players, what a disaster. Think if we fast forward a year we'll certainly stand more of a chance with them and Luton back vs whats in the league currently.

Either way I think that’s two of the 3 spots taken. A lot harder to call for the third

Everton will struggle again and I don’t think Wolves will be to far off either

Will wait to see what this new manager is all about before I make a call on Bournemouth

Imagine they applied some sort of net spend factor on your points tally

The money Newcastle are spending seems to just be getting lost. It feels like the reaction is always 'great signing' and social media is awash with positive comments, but what they are actually doing isn't a million miles away from the Chelsea's of this world. Is it just me, or are people being a bit too accepting of all this, and the Saudi money? It doesn't sit right with me at all.

Got plenty on here who are fine with teams spending ridiculous amounts gifted by a tycoon, never mind elsewhere.

TBH I am completely ignorant of it, I saw a article earlier which showed all of the high transfer fees paid, it's simply just a game of football Monopoly.

They would if the tycoon suddenly fell on hard times or asked for the money back. Good example being what’s happening to Sochaux right now.

Gary O'Neil set to replace Lopetegui at Wolves who sounds like he's jumping ship with the financials looking pretty bad. Finding it hard to bring any new players and have already sold Neves and Jimenez, can see them struggling this year.

This would be a case in point. Chinese conglomerate comes in and throws silly money at the club before losing interest and deciding that the club needs to be 'self sufficient'.

Moises Caicedo skipped training Monday it's reported to try and force a move to Chelsea. These player signed his contract and when a better one comes along down tools.I know if I was Brighton I would fine him maximum I could. The guy still has 2 years left on his contract I would let him rot in the reserves if need be .I know it would be a big cost but it's about time clubs started making players honour their contract. If the boot was on the other foot there would be hell. The PFA would be shouting from the rooftops.
If I was the club paying big money. I would think ahead as to when we might be the victim

I keep saying this but as a country we're balls deep with the Saudis, why should Newcastle be the ones to take the moral high ground?
We eitherdobusiness with them or we don't, personally I'd prefer it if we didn't but it's never going to happen.

The amounts of money involved are nowhere near the same. If people are happy to let ridiculous amounts of money to be spent that a club doesn't have in order to chase glory, they have to accept the consequence.

Many of our fans might not give a toss if someone came in spending tens of millions. I would be in the minority who would and if it meant us becoming a sports washing vehicle for some dubious foreign regime, there's a chance I'd stop going altogether.

It doesn’t matter how insolvent you are - if you can’t pay you can’t pay

Yes you’d be very much in the minority

PL FFP has done them, they have lost more in 2 years than FFP allows them to lose in 3 years

I am friends with a lot of Wolves fans and they soon forgot where they came from after being taken over by these lot. They are reaping what they sow now.

I genuinely hope I don’t cause any offence by this

But can anyone point me in the direction of Chinese owners of football clubs who have been any good??

They’ve abandoned their own domestic league never mind the few foreign clubs still under Chinese control.

It has now been confirmed Julen Lopetegui has left Wolves, Gary O’Neil expected to be named as his replacement.

Yes, I think there is a very good chance they will be relegated this season. I think Max Kilman will probably be the next to leave.
