Maybe Rapha was ill or picked up a knock. People saying he won’t make it just because he didn’t feature in a behind closed doors run out are being way OTT

Interesting that Bidwell wore captain's armband. Not sure that suggests he is on his way out as some have suggested.
Encouraged that Bell played ahead of Collins.

Or just a case of there's more than 22 of them out there, so some had to miss out. He'll probably get a half in the next game

Luke Bell unlucky with the own goal. But first one was a poor pass by him that was intercepted.

Bit of time off 1 maybe 2 days and then I assume it's full steam ahead back at Ryton.
Is that this week's programme?

They’ve just lost to a 2nd division Portuguese side. Id have them running laps of Ryton today, infront of the fans

I genuinely have no idea why you and others on this forum talk like this about him. You have seen absolutely nothing to base an opinion on. Why not be supportive and optimistic rather than a fucking prick about it

Not exactly nothing. We’ve seen about 40 minutes of him across a possible 4000+ minutes. I predict this rate will carry on or increase insignificantly next season. It’s a waste of a squad place.

If Rapha can’t get in ahead of BTA or MAB you’ve got to ask some Qs really. We could easily have played one less left back and fit him in if we wanted.

It's only the first game and it was clear from club statements the intention was to 'get 45mins game time' into players.

City fielded 11 different players in each half.

I agree. The result of a friendly doesn't mean a lot.

The problem is we know we have a GK crisis. We just played against a side that I don't have a clue what league they play in with most of our best players and they put 5 in against us. I was hoping to get a GK confidence boost in these games. All it has done is add to the worry.

I hope these games go the same way. Then we know we would end up bringing in a more capable GK before the start of the season.

No one knows how anyone performed yesterday. If Bell has made a mistake by giving a pass away then it's a good learning curve. He excelled away at loan last season, admittedly a very low level.

He needs national league or L2 now and needs to learn and I imagine now we've got that Fulham lad, this will happen

As for Wilson and Collins. We know what we are gonna get with them and unfortunately at their age they aren't going to improve much more

I don't think they'd bother taking him away with the first team at cost if he wasn't in the plans at all, what'd be the point?

If anyone wants to see snippets of goals (albeit not from ideal angles) you can see them on the story of their Instagram account.
