Anyone who is taking Coventry's pre-season matches seriously needs their heads checking.
Simple facts are that pre-season is all about fitness, assembling your squad, bringing in additional player and being sharp for the first game of the season. I've never known anyone who has ever been sacked because of a bad pre-season game. I personally think that anyone who thought we were going to walk through League One because of the Hinckley result and Brora Rangers game don't think about the quality of the opposition and people taking tonight's game seriously against Ross County have to remember that it's all about getting the team to gel and get fit for the new season.
I personally think we will have a good season this year, this is a new territory for us and everyone is looking at us (with the exception of Preston, Sheffield United and Doncaster) as the favourites for a change and will be playing for a draw more often then not. League One is the third highest division for a reason and the quality of player in this division is far below the Championship in my opinion. I think our squad is still Championship quality and not many teams in that division look like ours.
