It doesn't get the blood pumping does it! Wouldn't feel confident with that team. If Gunnar stays and Murphy and Sunny decide to come to us.

13th at worst, with or without Aron, Phillips and Sunny. Based entirely on the hope that The Thorn Miracle was real and not just some strange dream I had last Spring.

Oh, and SISU not flogging Sammy/Ben/Lukas for the first bid that comes along.

I think the league's gonna be really close next year, and i think we'll end up somewhere in a highly congested mid-table. At the moment i don't think it will be much higher than we finished this year; we need to get a good goalscorer in to replace Marlon to do much better than that. I think thanks to our improved brand of football, we're an odd case of a team with a weaker squad but that will probably do better!

I think next year will be difficult for us, if we sign Phillips we can't rely on him despite the undoubted quality he has, could be another Carsley if he gets injured. Peterborough are the only promoted team I think aren't better than us, Barnsley might be struggling with us, along with Millwall, Crystal Palace, Watford and Donny. If I'm right about those lot, hopefully there will be 3 worse teams than us for the coming season, I would say that Cardiff might be with us depending on their new manager and signings. It's going to be really competitive for the play-offs, probably not with us involved and I expect West Ham to go up, Birmingham and Blackpool might struggle to make the play-offs with all the competition but are largely unknown quantities right now

I think we need a good striker that will be able to last 90 minutes in one of the toughest leagues on the planet.

Phillips aint him. You need the right balance between quality and quantity. I fear that Phillips only has the quality.

Phillips will be an impact player imo. One to start very few, or come off the bench. Im sure he wouldnt want a 'super sub' tag, but essentially this is what he'd be. Unfortunately though, along with Platt and Eastwood, i dont think we need another striker who warms the bech before a 10 minute run out!

It's a tough one about super kev! Played very very well In the cup against us and didn't he play the majority of the game? He started alot for blues in the last few months and did okay. Just because other gaffers used him as a bit part doesn't mean we couldn't start him and take him off after sixty or seventy and bring Frederick on? I really can't decide. I agree he has/had got undoubted quality but for high wages would he give us enough?

Time for Juke Box to stand up and be counted next year and justify his price tag I reckon. He showed glimpses of being a quality player last year but we need more than that in this coming season. I agree re: Phillips. Too much of a risk given his age and likely wage demands.
