Event planned at the War Memorial Park, The Enemy,Tom Grenan etc.
Don't shoot the messenger.
I would be amazed if King plans a promotion party but has it somewhere that he'll have to pay more as there's no infrastructure in place and won't make money from all the beer sold.

We're got a stadium and an exhibition hall, surely if there's a party it will be there so the club maximises its revenues.

Anyway, I think some are missing the point. 😂 I have never been in the "we are getting promoted" camp and have always kept my powder dry and not got carried away. There are so many threads and posts from posters saying we ARE going up.

My feeling is that we should now do it, but I am also fearful it could all go wrong, however unlikely that is. So, I am still not convinced and am more I'll believe it when I see it as much as anything else

The point was purely about logistics and nothing else.

I have to look at when a celebration/parade COULD be, because I need to make arrangements to get to any event if it was to happen.

Just trying to work out when it might possibly be IF we made it. ❤️

Yeah, I know.

Just had disappointment so ingrained and embedded in my psyche watching the City for so long.

Wouldn't surprise me if we won the next three games. Wouldn't surprise me if we lost the next 3 games

Would be just like the City to do it the hard way and sneak a point on the last day of the season to gain promotion. 🫣🤪

Surely it will just be in the indoor fanzone after the last home game ( or earlier) when it’s confirmed .
Doesn’t need to be much more than we have already as the fans will create the atmosphere. Bring the team out as well.
Would probably need to be ticketed given potential attendance.

John Dawkins on the podcast said it’s always the celebrations that aren’t scripted that are the most fun and I completely agree

Dont know if its been said or common knowledge but the council approached the club before xmas and have had meetings around what would happen if the club got promoted. Its been in the planning stages for a while.

Didn’t they have it out for one of the marches? I’m sure my mate played guitar on it and I’ve got a photo by it with a can of Red Stripe in hand!

This thread does strike me as celebrating before the ball has crossed the line.

In fact, it's only just passed into the six-yard box. The nearest defender looks too far away, but with a well-timed slide and a bit of luck, you never know.

Hopefully we don't do a Darius Henderson while we're through on goal

The parade will obviously start at the CBS and head north up the A444, through Beduff and onto and finishing in Nuneaton.

The club should be honoring the fans that stuck with the club through those dark days.

I just came in to post that they should use a Number 57 Bus

It's a given they'll be a parade surely?
All dayer, cans and smoke bombs in Broadgate, great stuff.

Duggins doing a speech to the fans saying how proud he is of the club?

Interesting point. Maybe that is why Doug invited all our local songsters up to the PNE match, maybe it's a prelude to the bigger event upcoming. As for the 'open-top' bus, I agree we should use the FA cup bus as we will have 400,000 plus attending a street parade. If someone came up with a better alternative we should listen but we have 'the bus' in the museum and it's iconic and is part of our historical journey, why wouldn't we use it?

I don't like to get ahead of myself or tempt fate, but considering we responded to the calamity of falling to second place by going on a run that has us one away from a new record of consecutive league wins I can't see the season falling apart because of a hypothetical question about a bus.

The bus is a static display and although it’s been wheeled out once or twice, it’s barely turned a wheel in 40 years. Getting it ready to run in a parade is one thing but having 25-30 blokes roaming round the top deck throwing a trophy up and down is another. If it’s already had some work done, fine but if not, it would need a lot of checks and probably some surgery in order to be ready.

And then on M20 past Maidstone for 5 of us cov fans to wave our flags from a motorway Bridge as homage to May 1987 return up the M1.
That return to Cov up the M1/M45 in 1987 was fantastic. Only one bridge (in the Watford area) was empty of people celebrating. The closer to Cov we got, the bridges were simply heaving with sky blue ! London Road roundabout on the A45 was just something else. Fans celebrating all over the road. Fantastic 😁⚽️🍷

Exactly and it doesn't take anyone with any intelligence to notice I have now moved on from trains. 👍🏻

Well IF we get promoted and IF there's a celebratory procession I for one will be mightedly angry if CCC muscle in on the act given their past behaviour towards the club.

Is that what you call being pre pissed?
