There were a few:
Keogh - thought he was fantastic defensively today - won most headers and made some marauding runs into good positions.
Deegan - what a way to make a comeback! Looked composed, vision and passing range was superb and a great finish.
Jutkiewicz - Saturday must have knocked him a bit, so to calmly slot home from an angle was pleasing.
Christie - When he came on he looked composed and once again with flair and control. Him and Keogh wouldn't be a bad wing back pairing.
Cameron - I was v.unsure with him last term but looks more composed and handled some crosses and high balls v.well.

Honourable mention should also go to Thorn. Made the changes at the right moment which changed the game. Still room for improvement *cough* Murphy, but much happier tonight!

Negatives though were that we have no support for Juke up front and often leave him isolated, the midfield are not supporting the attack and are sitting too deep and we are a bit too predictable and slow and a lot of our stuff is telegraphed to the opposition. There is also too much sideways and backwards stuff for my liking. With this predictability opposition sides such as Blackpool are pressing and pressuring us and chasing our ball carriers down and last night we did end up lumping it forwards a few times.

Plenty to be happy about, but we still have that look of a relegation side.

Based on what I saw last night, we need an absolutely massive season from Gary Deegan. We desperately need a box to box midfielder with a bit of bite about him and he's the only one we've got. Until he came on we lacked zip, pace and invention.

He has to stay fit and healthy.
