I was sat about 25 ft directly behind Lampard yesterday.

He never stopped coaching the players until about 10 mins to go. He was fixated on the fact our defenders were constantly in the wrong position, both on the pitch and relative to their attackers.

His other focus was Bassette who he told on more than one occasion to stay on his feet and stop looking for fouls that aren’t fouls.

I think we all expect Collins to be dropped for Boxing Day but I did wonder why not sub him yesterday. Brutal as it sounds. He was clearly at fault for 3 of the goals and at some point we have to give Dovin minutes, although I think he will pick Wilson at his earliest opportunity.

Thought same on BC - however guess damage was done, and that would have been brutal mentally for him.
I don’t expect to see him again. Lampard needs 3/4 big players in January then a very busy summer.

problem is shifting out some of our dead wood - who wants them!

Collins was getting too much verbal abuse from some City fans. A fat bloke behind the goal was one of the most vocal and Collins looked back at him a couple of times. Hr wasn’t challenged by fans although others around the area were.

Thought Simms, bless him, did well when he came on.
Pretended to run to make a challenge at least 4 times !!
& even nearly headed it once !!

Been back ten minutes so not seen any highlights. First goal was opposite end so couldn't see what happened. Second goal was an obvious error from Da Silva. Marking for the third was atrocious and I actually felt for the fourth as Collins tried his best to keep it out.

A bit out of order to boo Collins during the game in my opinion. There were loads around me who were booing and shouting abuse at him. We would never do that in the past. Some of our fans are just cunts. FL should have acknowledged fans after but I'm not going to cry about it like the bloke next to me was nearly doing.

Nothing less than an emphatic win against the League's worst team will be acceptable.

It has happened in the past. Several times. Not sure where you were to have missed it.

I mean to such an extent and with such a nasty edge.

I was at Preston too earlier in the season.when some were having a go.

However a lot were hurling abuse and booing Collins during the game.

I don't think that's acceptable. Shouldn't do that to our own players regardless of performance.

I dont see why people are crying about the Collins abuse

He deserved it. He was laughing and joking with Pompey staff at the final whistle

He doesn't give a shit

I'm glad he got it both barrels, he needs to understand everyone thinks he's a c**t and doesn't deserve to be anywhere near the 11.

People in that away end yesterday spend thousands a year spending untold hours following these shithouses, who frankly don't deserve the support they get.

Fuck the lot of them

The solution is send Austin out to find players and while he’s out of the way sign the players you want and throw his list in the bin as he is as good at spotting talent as most of us on here.

I agree with Torch to be honest.
It's not how I want our fanbase to react though people are entitled to if that's how they feel.

We were right next to that fence by the home fans right hand side of the goal and it did seem as though the booing was coming mainly from the blocks behind the goal.
Didn't seem to be much round by us.

Personal insults should off limits I agree

But calling him shit, a useless c**t, shouldn't ever play for us again etc is well within reason as he's mugged us clean off for 18 months

More worrying for me is how poor must Dovin be in training if Frank continues to pick Collins. He’s been pretty awful since he came bank into the team.

Personal insults off limits but calling him a "useless c**t" is 'within reason'.

We were to the left of you, Block M, to the right of the goal as you look at the pitch. Abuse was terrible.

People have a right, of course, to express their displeasure, but shouting abuse at your own player isn't "support" in ny book.

Turning in dreadful performances is one thing, laughing about it is another. He’s managing to be the most dislikeable in a group full of piss takers.

It’s a long way to go and a lot of money to spend at a time of year when people are already spending loads. Dog’s abuse to a player isn’t what we want but it’s inevitable when these players seemingly have no standards. In recent years games like this happened once a year at most. This season we’re relieved when it isn’t awful

Yeah, you weren't that far away so the abuse must have spread more than I realised. Though I was in a bit of shock by this point!

In a season where there’s so many questions about our performances, tactics, energy, passing and leadership the biggest one is why spend £2m on an international goalkeeper and leave him on the bench as we all watch the league’s most feeble defence disintegrate in front of us ? Closely followed of course by what has Kerching done to hack off 3 managers 🤷‍♂️

The other obvious change was at LB and LCB.

I don't think two up top would have worked the way we played the second half.
They were pressing very aggressively but we had no out ball, the passage of play in the run up to the third goal was as an example of us passing across the pass only to surrender possession in our own half, eventually leading to the corner.

Is he, or is he not a useless c**t?

Do you approve of him putting in that performance, amongst a season of shite performances since he joined, and then laughing and joking with the Pompey staff as he walked off?
Unfortunately that makes it worse. I didn’t see that but if that was the case with Collins then he is a fool onto himself. Just accept you’ve had a stinker and just get straight down the tunnel, some would say applaud the fans but yesterday it would have just inflamed the situation. Best for all to just disappear.

Do I think he's good enough for this level? No. Do I think he's a useless c**t? No. And even if I did i wouldn't shout that at him during a game. Is that going to improve his performance or boost his confidence? Fuck me, it's not rocket science.

And, at the end of the day, it's NOT his fault. Others have bought him, others have thought he WAS good enough to compete. They're to blame, not him.

He also made two excellent saves in the second half last week that ensured we got all three points. Were you calling him a useless c**t then?

Watch their 2nd goal.

Free kick around the half way line pinged to their right our left. Da Silva pathetically heads it up in the air because he can't jump very high, their goalscorer comes around the back of him and is now goal side and gains possession. Da Silva is tugging at his shirt and he is slightly off balance as he gets his shot away. Binks stands 5 yards away from the ball inviting the shot, he doesn't go to the ball to close down the space and then twists his body to the left as the ball flies past him. As it nestles in the back of the net he claps his hands in frustration at his team mates.

What a pair of useless dish rags.

Binks, Dasilva and Collins definitely need to be culled. You can make an argument for all of them based on the second half. I really think that Simms needs to be given a run, but to be fair to Bassette he scored and he looked really dangerous despite the lack of composite, however at home I'd expect Plymouth to sit deep therefore there will be little space for him to run in behind, so Simms in the box for crosses is probably a better bet.

Dovin
Milan (only because I really don't want Lati there)
Thomas
Kitching
Bidwell
Sheaf
Eccles
Allen
Sakamoto
Simms
EMC

I'd have the same except Torp for Sheaf.

Sheaf needs dropping to either give him a rest or a boot up the backside.

Genuinely thought he was prime Xavi vs Wolves yet 8 months later, he's having bad game after bad game.
