All this shit about selling sheaf, any ambitious club would give him a new contract and sign midfielders to go with him

Once again Doug wanting to spend money from selling players and not his own
Well that would obviously depend on how much they wanted and who else is available. And whether he wants to sign. His demeanour lately gives a distinct impression he no longer wants to be here.

What has Sheaf done recently to warrant this? He gets injured regularly so ends up missing a number of matches. We've made him captain and he does absolutely nothing to help or encourage others to up their game. Do the stats with and without him show a marked difference in results when he plays?

Look at all the shite we’ve gifted points to this season. These today were terrible and have scored 4.
They were value for the win, 4 goals flattered them but they were better than us. That said, it's probably a different game if we don't concede the two soft goals in the first half. Having said that we looked like conceding at every corner so maybe not 🤷

Think my New Year's Resolution is less trekking the length of the country watching this mob week after week

I'll go when I can and go to the away days I enjoy as places, but I'm not bending over backwards to get shifts swapped or pissing Annual Leave away to watch the same shite players make the same shite mistakes

They haven't had to work hard for the points is my argument. I can't recall losing many this season where the opposition's had to really earn it or grind it out.

To equalise today just took a pot shot and the keeper did the rest. Coming out after half time and just shitting the bed almost immediately isn't even the first time it's happened under Lampard either.

At least I fly home to Bangkok on 12 th Jan so at least I can escape embarrassing performances like today.

Been back ten minutes so not seen any highlights. First goal was opposite end so couldn't see what happened. Second goal was an obvious error from Da Silva. Marking for the third was atrocious and I actually felt for the fourth as Collins tried his best to keep it out.

A bit out of order to boo Collins during the game in my opinion. There were loads around me who were booing and shouting abuse at him. We would never do that in the past. Some of our fans are just cunts. FL should have acknowledged fans after but I'm not going to cry about it like the bloke next to me was nearly doing.

Nothing less than an emphatic win against the League's worst team will be acceptable.
I wouldn't boo him, but he is awful.

Probably a different game if Norm had scored a second with his 1 on 1 with the keeper. It’s all well and good playing him for his pace behind the oppos line, but he does need to be able to convert the chances his pace has presented him with. This really isn’t fair, but Vik would have buried that, as would Wright, possibly Simms and even BTA.

Maybe so. Booing is disrespectful, but the abuse he got from some of the grown men around me was unacceptable.

I don't care how 'awful- he is perceived, he shouldn't be abused by his own fans. Pathetic little pricks.

Bloody hell just thinking my Pompey supporting uncle had been suspiciously quiet.. so checked his Facebook.. this was his post

Well - what a day so far: I, 4-1, thoroughly enjoyed the 4 goal salvo from Callum Lang to send Coventry…well…back to Coventry.

However I might have over celebrated his 4th goal and in the process tore a massive chunk out of my left calf. Every cloud has a silver lining though. I got to wish most of the players a happy Christmas and have a picture with a world class player and BIG FAT FRANKIE LAMPARD!!

The pictures are nasty, tore a massive chunk right down to the muscle, loads of stitches, looks like the Pompey medical team sorted him out and he got to meet the players

Dasilva and Collins are consistent.

Have to say, Collin’s looked rattled by some Sky Blues fans verbal abuse.

Lampard should not have played either of them

Lang normally plays the other side of the pitch. 6’3 VS 5’6. Only 1 winner.
Which tells you everything you need to know about the player and what we have been saying all along. Mentally week and if you can’t stand the heat then get out of the kitchen.

Just watched the highlights... Put Collins in a wheelchair and he does no worse.

Not saying the defending is much better but fuck me that keeping is horrific.

We had an Italian keeper ( loan keeper under Strachan I think ) played one game 5-1 league cup away defeat at Tranmere . Had a nightmare game and never played for us again. Collins reminds me of that keeper, except Collins has been poor for a longer run of games.

I don't agree with people booing Collins during the game and shouting abuse at him, but it has to be said he's not up to standard.
There's no way he starts boxing day surely.. he's let in almost every shot against him. To give him some credit he's made some decent saves but on the whole he's been wank.

Based on the way Frank was talking he sees Wilson as number 1. So with any luck by Boxing day he'll be ready to start or at least give Dovin another chance.

I think Dovin ( and hope ) will start, Wilson has only just returned to full training.

Don't know about that, do you remember when Wright put that 1-on-1 with the keeper wide of the post, early last season? Everyone thought it was going in. That was back when everyone was giving him awful abuse and wanted him gone.

Gyokeres missed all the time as well.

I haven’t until today found any positives about having incurable cancer, it’s slow growing but nothing can be done but I’ve got a few years left hopefully, but I’ve found one positive.
After 55 years watching Cov, watching this current pathetic spineless ‘pile of shit’, team is at least coming to an end .
I’ve had such great teams to watch , the 70’s 80’s & 90’s, back then we had skilful players but we also outfought teams, every team hated playing us, especially coming to Highfield Road, but this current team has to be one of the most cowardly, talentless teams we’ve had. So many players who simply do not give a shit, most of them are just very unlikeable .

Sorry to read this.

While we might not like the team we have right now, nothing will take away what we both experienced watching our club through the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s and more recently. Memories to last a lifetime.

Thank you for the perspective and sharing.. it’s sobering after being so pissed off about a football match.

Not all the time. Early doors would agree. needs coaching up to Viks level, shame they have gone though. Must be hard to develop strikers 1 on 1 skills using a GK at Collins level.
