If we're looking to Madine to be the Saviour I think we're all going to be equally disappointed Stu .

Haven't see anything to suggest he has more In the Bag than Say Kevin Kyle .

In fact I'd prefer Kevin Kyle currently .

I hope I have to now eat those words .

Eat shit and die wingy!!!!!!!!!!:pointlaugh::pointlaugh::pointlaugh::pointlaugh::(:p:claping hands::facepalm::facepalm:

TBF wingy Madine has that thing about him. That you would have saw with Marlon King, DMC and Leon Clarke.
They look a notch of a class above the level they are playing at.

I fear the 24 hour recall clause on Madine will be triggered by Sheff Weds. He is a very very good player at this level. Hopefully a few good results between now and 1st Jan could help us entice a few players in the transfer window. I actually think the back four looks quite strong. I would like to see us add a few more goals from the centre of midfield.

Quite funny listening to their phone in on the way home.
we were shit they should have won etc.
then there is thee one who phoned about the vale fans being the most fickle in the country?

apparently they have been moaning about ticket prices, getting in late, after turning up two minutes before. Kick off. How the manager is picking the wrong players etc et
oh and the pitch was quite poor today

thought it CWR but with a shit accent

Fleetwood next week in front of a bumper crowd.

I cant see the home crowd increasing that much on the basis of one away win that only 750 fans witnessed. If we beat Fleetwood 3-0 or 4-0 that might make a difference.

i still look back very fondly on the 140+ games Dion Dublin played for us !. I would suggest he was pretty decent. Wasnt he with us for a good 4 years or so ?

Yes he was, but that is ancient history. I was talking about the Championship/League 1 years.

And would have stayed with us much longer had he not been forced out of our club for the money. The best all round player I have ever seen play for us by a long way.

Coventry were dreadful. The most negative team I've seen this season yet they beat us comfortably, very worrying.

The above is a view off the port vale forum and many many comments like this saying we were very negative through out and we are a poor side.

To be honest it sounds like it was a game of 2 crap sides and 1 had to win. They had a certain penalty out of three penalty calls and the second goal made us look better than the result suggests.

Oh well we still won

First half yes. Even by this leagues standard it was mind numbing, but two to tango etc. Second half I thought we battered them with work rate. Still wasn't pretty, we weren't great. So given that synopsis the only team deserving of a 'dreadful' label are PV. I'll take this type of performance away from home every time as long as it yields at least a point.

Just watched the goals. Decent header by Reda for the first, but for the second fair play on OBrien for not going down and wanting a goal more than an opponent being sent off. Not often you see that from players in today's game (although Cazorla also did it for Arsenal yesterday too).

Great to see Madine looking like he's happy to be here, and his tweet after the game confirmed that!

We lost 3-2 at Port Vale last season with our cavalier attitude. We tighten up and win 2-0 and armchair pundits like you still have a whine. Who gives a fuck what an opposition fan thinks?

Woooooaaahhh chill out FP. I actually feel sorry for you as your posts are full of so much anger and clearly involves issues with yourself. I hope it all works out for you.

Just comment on the thread and not pick on people and every post. Life will treat you better this way.

Couldn't agree more. I meant nothing by my post other than what some port vale fans think. Just interesting I thought.

Some posters one in particular thinks we are arm chair fans with no clue who we are. Hmmmm ok then.
