Yep, the stats say we've had 1 shot. I really don't like the wingback system in this league.

BBC says 6 shots to 1 Are we being outplayed that badly?

Not really, all pretty tame so far.

No goalkeeper worked. It will be a defensive howler from us for them to score or a screamer for us to score I think.

It doesn't work with players who are coached as full backs and who are not brilliant athletes

and yet we look to go wide almost every time we get the ball. Bit of a hangover from the 'look for JJ' tactics earlier in the season. Grimmer just hasn't quite got the execution and is half a second too slow in his thinking at right midfield. Gamed needs a change already.

Can’t be far off the classic nick quote of “ I think we will lose this now”

Well today is a first out of the many many away games i've done. Went with the mrs who isn't much of a football fan and who hadn't been keen on the concept of spending Boxing Day at Vale Park. Drove over and she was feeling unwell, we went to the pre match pub and met loads of Cov lads including many that we know. She had to sit down in the super busy pub and couldn't properly socialize with everyone. Walking to the ground in order to get tickets (we hadn't pre bought, for once - fortunately) she couldn't face the prospect of 2.5 hours sitting in the cold and so we packed in the football idea we went back to the car. Fortunately we were staying locally tonight anyway so just meant we were at my mum's 3 hours earlier than planned. Sitting now watching Mary Poppins withba proseco and a ham sandwich. Bit disappointed to miss the game but we wouldn't have enjoyed it anyway with her feeling ill and cold. Will hopefully go to Carlisle instead whilst we're staying here for the next few days. No down side as we hadn't pre paid for tickets.

Merry Christmas everyone and stay warm out there!

We look for Doyle every time, it usually ends up then going back to our defenders.

Really struggling to unlock their defence.

McNulty cross finds Grimmer who hits the post

Officials give a corner

Foul given against us once it comes in

I wouldn't have said we were playing wing backs today, just square pegs in round holes at left and right midfield?

That was a very soft foul. Again the refs have no consistency.

Was a bit like the one against Vincenti last week but a lot softer.

Almost a costly error with Burge running out of his area and Davies tracking back towards the same ball. Luckily no Vale player close enough to make it count

Nearly the howler there, Burge came out and a defensive mixup nearly gifted them an open goal.

McNulty pulled back on the edge of the box, given against him

We need Nazon or something different up top, Robins always leaves it way too late to change it though.

Blocked cross by Willis, corner them...

The game has a feel something will happen soon.

Good build up, Stokes cross cleared back to him. Then he looks to hit it off their player and out but a goal kick given.

Is that for a defender? Unless they are pushing somebody else up.

His first 20 league games without scoring. Dreadful stat for a striker. Hardly contributed at all today

Think we are going to need to change the approach to put Duck or McNulty through. Isn't as open as the past couple of games.

Then again who has? Bayliss perhaps is the only one who’s shown up
