TBF the account he mistakenly tagged it to only had six followers. You can see how he made the mistake

Trump is an idiot, and I'm not sure he will last the full term as it stands. I certainly cannot see him getting re-elected. If I had to guess now, I would say he will limp through to the end of his tenure and then get slayed next time round.

He can't just go round retweeting Britain First accounts, it's going to cause a load of trouble, and as we know many of these videos are not verified. It only makes the argument harder in the long run that we are actually having issues.

That being said, all the politicians being so outraged at this they want to stop his visit need to get real. There seemed to be not so much outrage from them at the 400 returned ISIS fighters we now have living within our society

Worryingly, I can... he appeals to a certain demographic, and knows how to tap into that.

You only have to look at social media. His supporters just flat out deny any story that criticises him and shout fake news.

I thought it was bad when they re-elected George W. Bush.

He's now looking like the voice of reason!

the man is supposed to be a politician, he's a fucking idiot.
There is no way he should have put May in the position to have to condemn him because he was retweeting Britains first, he's supposed to be a statesman.

It was a good one last night.......watching him squirm as Obama roasted him whilst he attended the White House correspondents dinner was great.......

.....although that very public humiliation probably made his mind up to run.

So far watching this series, I'd say hes 50% idiot, 50% evil genius, 100% narcissist.

with the evidence against him there's only one way Flynn got the deal he got, (charged with one count of making a false statement), he's offered them someone further up the food chain - there's only Pence and Trump more senior.

Heard a political commentator from America on the radio saying similar. He said there’s no way he could have had just one change without doing a deal to spill the beans. We’ll wait and see what comes out but people like Trump tend to be Teflon and have a force shield of fall guys. They’ll be a few falling on their sword for him. His son in law likely to be the first. It’s almost set up for that already.

On another note I see he’s got his tax reforms through under the guise of benefiting the poor but the main benefactors seems to be corporates, the have’s and the have lots rather than the have nots. The amount of money it’s going to take out of the American coffers is mind blowing also.

People like this aren't going to risk doing time if there's a way out of it. They'll be perfectly happy to drop others in it to save themselves.

Interestingly Kushner was interviewed recently, by that time they would have had the information from Flynn so were they letting Kushner drop himself in it.

Agreed. It's also a sad that our own government has refused to cancel his state visit following his BF tweets.

Just handing it out at the first meeting was a mistake. Don’t recall how long Obama was in office before he got an invite for a state visit but I think it was years rather than days. It would have been prudent to see how the dust settles before handing out such a prestigious invitation. Especially given the controversy regarding Russia that was surrounding him before he was even sworn in.

You are right but you deliberately or ignorantly chose to ignore the fact this will increase jobs in states that have been abandoned. Manual labour jobs in factories and floors. Yes not great paid jobs and making the rich richer I agree but hey they are still jobs and money and that’s more than they have now since America get their stuff imported a lot more these days.

Tax cuts he is going to get through benefits many people in different ways such life. Everyone has a different life. Yes the rich will get tax help when they don’t need it but in return creates jobs and hope for less well off.

I haven’t ignored any “fact” at all. I just haven’t bought the line about it supercharging the US economy and neither have independent bodies in the US such as The Joint Committee on Taxation. They predict that the positive effect on growth will be something like 0.01% as a result of the Tax cuts and the effect of extra tax income from any gains will fall well short of the the tax collections lost from the cuts.

If it happens great for America. Problem is anyone independent in America who understands these things doesn’t agree.

Here’s a good guide to some opinions The 7 Myths of the GOP Tax Bill

Sorry it’s predicted to add 0.1% to growth not 0.01% I said earlier. Several independent think tanks also seem to think that the majority of the tax cut in corporation tax will end up in the hands of shareholders not the employees hands or investment in jobs as it’s been sold.

What in his tax plans will generate these jobs and who is going to take them given he says unemployment is the lowest it has been for decades?

How will it work differently this time to when Bush implemented the same plan back in 2002 which killed American growth and let to the housing bubble which we all know triggered the global financial crisis?

Personally I have no confidence that giving companies at 15% tax cut and abolishing the top rate of tax for individuals earning more than $418K will have any effect other than making the rich richer.

Yes no doubt some will be but if it creates a few more jobs and wages then this is to the benefit of everyone. It’s balance between giving the rich free tax and taxing them too high and them all sodding off else where.

I don’t agree. Obviously it will make them a bit more money but the idea is to create more jobs and wages for the bottom end. They have no jobs and no wages in some states now as all the manufactoring and factories have shut.

Look I know everyone hates trump and we are meant to slate everything he does but I genuinely think he trying to please everyone. Impossible but having a go at least. He was honest enough to admit he takes the tax breaks when he can also as most people would. A lot wouldn’t admit it.

All in all I think it is good news for Americans and a step forward.

The problem is not if it creates a few more jobs it has to create enough to first offset what’s being lost in tax income before you can start measuring it as a serious success and there seems to be zero to little evidence that it’s capable of doing this. Some people thinking it will actually do the opposite as per the article I’ve linked.

The theory is it will bring jobs back to the US. The truth is more jobs in the US have been lost to mechanisation than have been lost to being moved overseas. One of the other concerns are that manufacturing corporations will use this windfall to invest in further mechanisation rather than create jobs. Machines don’t have breaks, don’t go on holiday, don’t have to be paid health insurance etc etc. and corporations are a monster that chases the dollar and nothing else.

Also Trump a man who’s business’s have specialised in distressing small businesses that have worked for them into bankruptcy rather than pay them is trying to please everyone. Please. What next? Joy Seppala loves Coventry City.

Yes I agree it’s a balancing act. In my opinion he is doing something quite radical here and giving it a shot. If it doesn’t work then you can put it back up another 5% or return it back. Criticize after of what I’m saying not when he is making a massive change to tax laws to promote a change which is what poor Americans are crying out for. He was voted on a ticket. If he fails and it’s been a massive failure then they can remove him. If it’s a msssive success he still won’t get any credit which isn’t right either.

I quite agree. Again as per my last post. He is trying something radical which others wouldn’t have the balls to do imo. They certainly don’t here in the UK. Critize after if he badly fails.

but surely exempting them from tax overseas is encouraging them to do that? I'm no expert but that's the first thing I thought when I read it.
