Did hear about a cov fan in hospital after being hit outside the Roost.

Didn't think it was true. Awful if so.

Yes unfortunately it is true. Looked bad.

Always going to be a bit going.
Every club has some idiots that'll turn out for a game like this. An excuse for a bit of trouble rather than any real animosity between the 2 clubs.
Risking getting sent down for a fight at the football just idiotic.
Middle aged men getting involved is just embarrassing.
Surprised we're not getting tall stories about Baz dishing it out

Most of them must be nearly 60 now. Had several runins with them in the 80's.

Walked down Digbeth after the game, and was clearly a few minutes behind whatever had happened. Never likely to kick off in the ground, but extremely likely outside and away from the ground.
On a separate point, I still can't see the logic behind closing off the end blocks of the Tilton Road end, and the huge gap between the fans at the away end of the Kop - lots of potential income lost by 2 teams in desperate need of cash. Don't think it would have been a Police decision, as Villa v Blues doesn't have that amount of segregation, and that's definitely more likely to kick off.

Short walk to train station, no bother. Police Dogs barking their heads off, trying to make trouble.

Reg, The Police dogs didn't cause the trouble in Digbeth. They were barking when I walked past them as well, but I felt reassured by them rather than intimidated.

I'm not sure what you expect, if you park in stadium car parks that is always likely to happen. Parked on street less than 10 mins away, back near Wycombe by 19:15. Never understood why people do it (unless of course you literally can't walk 300-400 yards, in which case I sympathize and you probably don't have an option).

Not nice at all.

Apparently a lad got injured near the Roost after the game as well.
My lad said he had a cut across the eye which some people said was a slash but he thinks it could have split from a punch.

An old fella before the game told me about the assault on the Cov fan Appalling.

The crush getting in and a half time was borderline dangerous. Blues fans that we traveled with said it normally quite bad - they though we should have won by the way. Although they did enjoy the away end

Seems a few isolated incidents, hope those hurt were those looking for it and not just normal fans.

From what people are telling me once word went round that a Cov ‘mob’ had turned up people’s attitudes changed. Now you’ll see a bigger Blues mob turning out for the replay. That’s the mentality FFS

Fuck all that anyway it’s boring and pitiful.

The game was pretty even but we weren’t happy with our showing. Can’t remember a decent shot on goal from us.

Cov were the better team I’d say and should have scored twice in the second half. A great save by Camp and a howler of a miss kept us in the tie.

Didn’t see any trouble myself, but every team has idiots.

agreed with this - thought the game was even. Should we have won at the end, yes? But I think we looked out muscled in the first 30 mins and the first 10 of the second.

entertaining 0-0 I thought. Think the O’Hare miss was our chance. Replay was good

I was in line, he looked like he saw the headlines being a villa player and fan and was wheeling off before he touched it.

He’ll learn from that, he’s a good player but the moment definitely got the better of him

Theres a pic on Instagram of it, I recognise him from games, it looks pritty bad but probably just a split as opposed to being slashed.

@Nick may want to remove or hide it somehow.
