I think we just deserve it.

Preston are tidy but when they come forward they run out of ideas and start to play it around when we’ve got out defence and midfield behind the ball.

When we go forward we’re looking for through balls and openings.

Beat the Deepdale curse now lads.

I love Gyokeres and all of our strikers generally, but there are some finishes that only Tyler can do.

Such a shame we couldn't have slid that 41st min chance in.

Need to be at them from start and pressure them, they'll crumble.

Any reason why both teams are doing the 6 yard goal kick routine, wind etc?

His all round game has been good today too, lots of dropping deep to get the ball an lay it off, plus his usual movement.

We absolutely deserve the lead. As I said 20 minutes ago, we’re dominating and not even playing our best yet.

Preston will have their 10 minutes I’m sure, but as it stands there’s only one winner. We’re the better team by some way.

At he moment (as long as we don't give a howler) I don't mind playing out from the back, as they are not at all effective with the press. Apart from Johnson (on occasions) and Earl on the left getting in behind Dabo on their left flank, they've looked very average. Glad Kelly is there to do the dirty stuff. One more goal and I think we win.

Decent first half. It's plainly obvious that we're the better team. Just need to get a 2nd to kill them off. Preston really aren't great, except for Earle on the left, he is causing Dabo some issues.

Dabo defensively is weak and it will be interesting if they push up if he gets Kane on. He’s defensively better

Yep, agree with that. We've had a couple of sloppy moments too, giving it away in dangerous areas & letting them in behind so far from done.

We’re keeping it pretty tight so far and not getting stretched too much. A bit more quality in the final third and we’ll bag more
