He was also very, very good at the Den in the 0-4. The reverse pass for the Armstrong goal is probably the best ball I’ve seen played at league one level

I think that was his party piece. He did that a few times (or tried to).

It depends if he is playing McCallum.

If he is going to play McCallum again I'd drop Chaplin and put Bright there. Shipley on the Left who can then drop in when McCallum attacks and leave us less exposed.

Play Mason wherever possible. McCallum struggled last weekend but is only 17 so needs to be eased in to first team action. Mason looks the real deal at only 21 so I want to see him get as much game time as possible this season.

Brown has got better with every game imo, think he gets unfair flack compared to mason who seems bullet proof with the fans

I think there's very little difference between the two but Brown is one of our highest earners and is trouble in the dressing room (from what I've heard). I'd happily save on Junior's wages and have Mason backed up by McCallum.

could just be unfounded rumour to be fair

robins signed both of them. should play them both for 1 season at least

Brown must have made at least 5 stupid challenge in the box. He's given away minumum 2 pens in a ccfc shirt. Lack of discipline?

For me, Bright has got to learn some positional responsibility. I think he showed in every position except goalkeeper.
There was more than one occasion when a cross from the right went out of play on the left because he was out of position

he still created excellent chance for hiwulla. more than shipley would have done

he will learn by starting as many games as possible

I'm not disagreeing with you as he clearly has ability.
Sterling's development should be a lesson to all of us doubters, but drifting around the field is something he has to correct as the rest of the team won't know how to play with him

Without knowing a lot about how Plymouth play, the last two games we've struggled for an outlet, so for that reason, I'd reinstate JCH for Hiwula. Hiwula missed 2, maybe 3 good chances (if we're being harsh) and think it'd be best to start with Chaplin and JCH. Had Hiwula stuck away one of the chances, I'd have dropped Chaplin. Otherwise, we should keep the team unchanged unless Mason is fit. I'm going for a win here by a goal margin.

Looking forward to a shortish easy train away day.

We've been allocated to beat them this season 1-0 or 2-1 City

Too far to travel up and down in one day! staying the night there, booked a family room in Travelodge for 30 quid 3 months ago! forward planning and looking forward to having a few drinks celebrating 3 points and play offs back on!
4-2 City , will suit us them not sitting back and attacking us and we hit them on the break! can see it all unfolding.

If anyone is Cornwall based, is going by train and fancies meeting for a pint then PM me. Failing that is anybody planning on going to the Wetherspoons nearest to Plymouth station pre match?

Coming from Bristol but same plan of going to the pub between the station and the ground. My other half is taking her Cornish flag (where she's from) to wind up the locals.

I find his career fascinating. Started at St Étienne. Made his debut alongside Edgar Davids, Gianluca Zambrotta and Antonio Conte for Juventus against Arsenal in the Champions League. Never played for them again. Went on loan from Juventus to Portsmouth in Division One (lolz, you can guess who Pompey’s manager was from that) and scored 9 times in that season including one against us (obviously). This meant he actually scored 17.3% of his total career goals, against us, in just two games. He scored two to send Pompey top with just two games to go. Redknapp signed him permanently on huge wages, he played just 12 times but didn’t score another goal for the next 2 years (obviously). After a few more transfers he fittingly finished his career at a club called Moneyfields (perfect club for his Pompey boss).

Sorry if that seems off topic but I must say that despite that dismal record, him being unfit and retired for years, even he would’ve bagged that chance we had on Saturday.

My Granny would have scored that one and she died in the’80’s

Used to work with a woman from Plymouth in Cov and another woman who was of Cornish descent. They both had their respective flags on the desk (iirc Cornish is black with a white cross and Devon the Plymouth Argyle colours)

The result depends on which Coventry City side show up.
Could be a win or loss or even a draw.

You know it makes sense, I'm driving to Cornwall on Friday afternoon (hopefully won't get stuck at Bristol as usual) and staying until Monday.

Last time I stayed in Cornwall and drove to Plymouth it took two bastard hours to go 40 miles down a succession of dirt tracks!

1,000 tickets sold so far, that's excellent for this time of year for a 6 hour+ round trip. Hopefully we can sell the remaining 200 in the next few days.
