I'm not sure how you can say all those players are top 6 players?

Murphy, Wood, Bailey, McG...I agree wholeheartedly.
Possibly Jennings and Moussa too.

The rest are either past it or unproven at this level.

Depends on which performance you look at. First half Sat then no, second half Sat defiantly no, last 5 minutes Sat possibly! PUSB

In other teams they would destroy opposition, at coventry they are bottom half at best, we cannot keep the ball the way oppositions do or play like them

I think that what the hell is going on is that your tenuous grip on reality is getting ever more tenuous.

Murphy yes. - Yep
Clarke on last season's form yes. - Nope. Not top 6.

Cameron yes - No.
Reckford ? - Maybe
Kilbane has to be surely he has not lost it this much. - No
Bailey yes. - Yes.
Jennings yes. - Maybe, but again not top 6 I feel.
Baker yes - Another big fat no.
Barton yes - An even bigger fatter no.
Fleck yes - Maybe.
Sheff ?. - Nope. Lost it big time it seems.
Elliott yes. - Nope.
Cody yes. - Nope.
Mcg yes. - Yes.
Moussa ?. - Maybe.
Thomas yes. - Maybe.

So what the hell is going on!

So what the hell is going on in that mind of yours? Delusional thinking there my friend.

Let's change the question to a much more relevant one here.

Have the players below got the heart, spirit, fight and fire in their bellies about them. Cos that's what we bleedin well need. Players who fight hard for the ball, have a bit of desire and heart about them.

Who has spirit, heart and fire in their belly?

Murphy - Yes.
Clarke - Unknown.
Wood - Yes.
Cameron - Unknown
Reckford - Unknown
Kilbane - No
Bailey - Yes.
Jennings - Unknown.
Baker - Sometimes (on his mum's birthday and the anniversary of the death of his next door neighbour's dog perhaps)
Barton - Nope. Not at all.
Fleck - Unknown.
Sheff - Nope. Not anymore apparently.
Elliott - Unknown.
Cody - Unknown.
McG - Yes.
Moussa - Nope.
Thomas - Yes.

What are you basing this on? :thinking about:

I need answers dammit!

I think he is basing it on a land of fluffy white clouds, where the trees are made of lemon drops and the rivers flow rich with chocolate and honey. The birds sing Kylie songs and the wind gently plays the sounds of Greensleeves while elves and pixies play softly in the meadows.

I think most the players also seem to be deluded and think they are better than they are.

Just turn up and surely we'll get the points.

McGoldrick and Bailey are the best 2 outfield players at the moment IMO and unsurprisingly they also put in a decent amount of effort.

Players who try will always look better. You never fault the guy who makes a bad pass who spends the next 30 seconds working his axx off to get it back. Its the guys who lose the ball then stand there with there hands on hips acting like its someone elses fault.

Bailey, Murphy, McGoldrick, Wood, thomas at least try.

Are mcsheffery, Baker, McDonald, Barton and the rest good enough you better belive it do the give a f? nope.

The only players good enough for top 6 are Murphy, Bailey and McGoldrick.

Think you are probably right.

This is a league where you roll your sleeves up and get stuck in. We have too many fancy Dan's for this division.

Flair players who are any good also work very hard. Our flair players are limited in ability and lack total desire.

The OP suggests Barton is a top 6 player. That yields me all I need to know about their football knowledge.

Agree.

He may have all the silky skills in the world, but he has no pace, is physically weak and gets knocked off the ball too easily, disappears out of games and worst of all, appears to have very little if any, fire in his belly.

Doesn't matter how highly anyone rates him as a footballer, I would say he is exactly the sort of player we don't need here.

Can only judge on what has been seen ............. as a group clearly none of them are but as individuals then for me only Murphy, Wood and McGoldrick. No consistency in any of the other players...... all play well for a half or less then disappear in every game ...... but as a group rarely play well at the same time

As in all forms of employment, it takes more than just ability and the relevant skill to be good at your job. Things like... Work rate, desire, intelligence and confidence, one or more of these is missing from all the players listed.

They are not good enough the table tells you that. Two wins this season, one of those a lucky deflection the last minute at Oldham. Anything but relegation will be a success this season

Only players with quality required at this level are McGoldrick, Wood, Murphy and Fleck (if fit). Haven't seen Bailey yet so don't want to judge. The rest will not excel in League 2 I fear.
