Midfiled couldn't get into the game today which is why we were poor. 5's aren't because they did stuff wrong more because they didn't do anything.
ruben impressed at times but lack of final product.
A few good movements by fleck but not at his best.
willis has been carrying a knock so won't slate him, as he was getting doubled up on.
not the best performance but with such a thin squad and so many matches I expected the loss today.

Burge 7 -Made a couple of smart saves and unlucky with the second goal
Willis 5 -Lalkovic for Walsall terrorised him
Ricketts 6- Did the best in a shaky defence
Reda 5 -Looked a bit clumsy today, more so than usual. Think Bradshaw was just a bit too clever for him today
Stokes 6- Seemed to do his job defensively well enough, not much going forward
Vincelot 6- Probably our best outfield player, only one who really looked up for it
Fleck 5- A mile away from his performance v Crewe, didn't get much help from the other players though

JOB 5- Lot of effort, no quality today
Lamieras 6- Flashes of skill but never had anything to show for it
Armstrong 6- Quiet day, not really his fault though as I don't think he got the service today. Unlucky not to score with free kick
Murphy 6- Gets +1 for a super goal, other than that I thought he was poor. Clearly there is some ability there to work with so hopefully can get him up to scratch sooner rather than later

Phillips 6- Got up the right flank more than Willis and put more crosses in but no one on the end of them

On tight pitches like today our game plan just isn't going to work. When we play the Walsall's, Oldham's, Gillingham's away from home we can't play this passing brand of football. The pitches are tight, the crowd are on top of us and it just doesn't work. Lameiras is a very talented player, but in games like today he's just a complete passenger.
We need a physical presence upfront in games like today and we need to grind it out rather than try and play ourselves out of trouble.
And what's with Reda Johnson's ratings? 6, 7? The guy was shocking, an accident waiting to happen and how he has this cult hero status I will never know.

Apparently walsalls pitch is bigger than ours, it just looks smaller because the stands are closer to the pitch.

Walsall passed the ball around well enough, they were more patient than us. Simply lumping the ball forward to a big man is not the answer. We needed a change of shape.

Reda was very lazy passing wise yesterday. Too many direct balls and reda seemed to hoof it far too much
That's all Reda can do unfortunately, he is very limited on the ball.
