Poor game overall won by two bits of great creativity from O’Hare. No-one really worse than a 6, but not many better than that either. O’Hare MotM with an 8. Ostigard and James both 7s. Pask did well when he came on, glad to see that. Much needed win, hopefully make it two in a row on Saturday and fingers crossed Dabo isn’t out for too long.

Deserved victory, hard working all round. Biggest concern is that pitch for our style of play as it's only going to get worse from here.

O’Hare the difference.

Feel like you need to give ratings for each half though. Nobody would be over a 6 for the first half which was very poor overall.

Second half was much better and we looked a lot more cohesive. Fair play to Robins for making the right subs. Allen scored, Pask did his job really well and Baka held the line and defender from the front at the end.

O Hare is the best signing we’ve made for a long time.

At the level we are at he’s a huge asset to the team - the negativity on here around him has frankly been embarrassing as most clubs around us in this league would take him in a heartbeat and yes above Hamer as well

Different positions however them assists were needed for him tonight, a pressure he had on him has been lifted and hopefully we see it more and more... Been great this season at everything else

His workrate is unbelievable

Hamer, James and Ohare. Pretty much a dream trio. As good as we can expect at this stage in our growth.

Big call. I know what you are going for and I’m not saying you are wrong. But it’s still attention seeking.

Better than the usual negative big calls we get around here though.

Apart from his shot from 40 yards I thought his game looked much more controlled and composed tonight.

Wilson 7 (maybe a little lucky with the Penny shot but was a slight deflection and unsighted. Otherwise gathered everything well on a skiddy pitch)
Dabo 7 (some moments of great skill. Hope his injury isn't serious)
McCallum 6 (pretty off with his passing)
Hyam 6 (did okay but possibly lucky not being sent off with clumsy challenge. Could have been a very different result if he had)
Ostigard 9 (motm. immense defensively. Didn't play like a youngster. His header which Westwood saved was incredible. He was horizontal at shoulder height!)
Sheaf 6 (struggled to get control in midfield)
James 8 (orchestrated well. Chased back well and always looking to attack)
Hamer 7 (passing was off first half but was better in the second)
O'Hare 9 (2 assists and another key pass to Viktor, along with his usual work rate)
Viktor 8 (good run and finish for goal. Should have earned a penalty after some good control. Also willing to chase back and block crosses)
Biamou 7 (unlucky striking the defender's head on the line after Westwood save and his back heel started the move leading to first goal)

Pask 7 ( won some important headers and did little wrong)
Shipley 7 (not greatly involved but some good interchanges and runs into space)
Allen 8 (great injection of energy and pass and move, plus a cool finish for his goal)
Baka 6 (some useful closing down at the end)

Brilliant from O'Hare. Two assists and also set up other chances including one wasted by Gyokeres. Unbelievable that some people don't see what a good player he is.

James is a good signing and pleased with Pask. I hope Dabo is OK.

Biamou unlucky not to score and hope that goal will give Allen some confidence. Wasn't impressed with Gyokeres until the goal but he fought hard after that and tracked back well

Wilson 6
Dabo 6
McCallum 6
Hyam 6
Ostigard 6
James 7
Hamer 7
O'Hare 8
Sheaf 6
Gyokeres 7
Biamou 6

Pask 6
Allen 7
Baka 6
Shipley 6

Pask looked good tbh. Won nearly every header. He's quick, tall, athletic and strong. Think he could have a chance at cb

I like Hamer as well and has been our best overseas signing since Gunnarson - its the £15 million nonsense that needs addressing. He’s nowhere near worth that but is a vital member of the team

Wilson 6 - I've erased that "save" in the first half from my memory.

Dabo 6 - Pretty consistent, gutted to see him go off. Lovely bit of skill to then boot it out of play shortly before going off.

Pask 7 - Wasn't expecting much when he came on but defensively I thought he was really good and helped us see the game out really well.

Ostigard 7 - Insane jump for his header. Had a good game.

Hyam 5 - One very dodgy clearance in second half, could have got sent off.

McCallum 5 - He generally wasn't 'bad' but his passing is god awful at times.

Sheaf 6.5 - Did one very "Sheaf" thing, which we got away with. His forward passing excellent as usual.

Hamer 7 - The usual wild passes to thin air, accompanied by moments of crazy attempts on goal, enthusiastic tracking back and skipping away from people in midfield.

James 8 - Looks a real player, calm and the ball sticks to his feet despite the fact he doesn't seem to do anything particularly quickly.

O Hare 8.5 - Actually didn't get on the ball anywhere near as much as in most other games. His assists, in particular the first, were great. Won some important free kicks at the end.

Gyokeres 7 - Took his goal really well. Looks good technically running with the ball too.

Biamou 6 - Did okay today. Did he have that chance that hit the Wednesday player in the face?

Allen 7 - The energy we needed when he came on. Calm finish.

Baka 6 - Did his best. Should go down when he is fouled.

Shipley 6 - Largely anonymous, other than that run into the box.

Didn't look uncomfortable with only 2 centre halves and if that means we get an extra man higher up then I'd like to see more of it.

The shot from 40 yards was brilliantly instinctive and could easily have caught out a lesser keeper than Westwood, as no keeper would have been expecting a shot from there, and could have easily been caught out of position. He did similar earlier in the season when he took a punt from the half way line which nearly went in, although I can't recall who it was against.
