Me trying to explain that my personal ratings system is probably harsher than average but you can always adjust for inflation if you want:

I agree there are a few on here that like to shout down opinions that they don’t agree with and using the accusation above is a bit wrong.

Fact is, Wright’s touch and passing today was far short of what is expected at Championship level. On the plus side, he can find space.

That 8m tag is a heavy cross to carry. (Am I allowed to say that for fear of being pro Christ or something?)

Superb overall today, Sakamoto, Sheaf and Bidwell in particular but just about everyone played well. Wright would have been right up in the ratings if he'd just find the ability to finish. Very frustrating from him, hope he can improve that aspect of his game as he'll score a tonne if he can.

Don’t think anyone had a bad game! Toss up between bidwell and eccles for MOTM but I think if I have to pick on something then eccles corners were dreadful (I know we scored from one for goal 3)

Wright did okay - someone described him as a chance magnet the other week and I think that summarises him. I was tempted to give him a 6.5 though because of some of the basics he got wrong but I think he’s a confidence player and needs to get a few more goals and get going

I've been critical of Wright but this simply isnt true.
He made a very important covering tackle in the first half and me and a few others commented on it in the match thread.

I agree, think he’ll improve - my initial thought was that he might not have had loads of top level coaching. However, checking Wiki, he’s evidently has some time at a high level in Germany so it’s a surprise that his technical gameplay isn’t more rounded.

Today his passing and some of his getting caught offside and other aspects to his game was very poor at times.

I thought he deserved a lower mark than goal scoring Godden, who I thought had a good all round game.

Sakamoto 7 Crossing not always great but so fun to watch when he takes on his fullback. He can clearly thrive in his natural position
Godden 7 Tough work against two very physical CBs but did well in the air and scored
