Burge 5, shocking kicking again, gave away penalty lucky he didn’t get sent off. Couple of good saves though.

Davies 8 Great to see him back. No nonsense defender.
Willis 7
Grimmer 8
Shipley 8
Kelly 8
Doyle 8
Bayliss 8
McNulty 8
Biamou 7

Reid 6

Burge-7 Good save from Eisa 1st half. Usual combination of woeful kicking and some good. Lucky to only get a yellow for the pen.
Grimmer-7 2 assists. Threatening going forward... Still suspect defensively
Willis-8 Strong and Commanding Today
Davies-8 Good and strong. Won alot.
Stokes-7 Decent game, alot better than Haynes
Doyle - 8 Typical Doyle performance.
Kelly -8 Thought he was pretty decent today and used the ball well
Shipley-8 2 in 2 and another whole hearted showing
Bayliss 9 - class act. This lad is top draw
Biamou- 9 Great game. Put himself about, never stopped chasing and harrying. Great goal. Richley deserved.
Mcnulty- 9 2 poachers goals and a super finish for his hat trick.

Subs:
Reid- 8 Did .decent job when he came on
Ponti -7 not really time to assert himself
Clarke-Harris 7- selfish when should have squared to ponti second half. Prefer Biamou.

Robins-8 Got it right today and got the required reaction after the shambles on Tuesday

Stokes made the world of difference. I Would keep him in now until the end of the season and hopefully he can provide the same type of performance as he did today.

Bit harsh on Burge, claimed everything in the air and one good save. His kicking is properly shit though. Was in the small home paddock and nearly got by 3 of his kicks. He is perfectly adequate for Div4 but how he got in the team of the year is beyond me
Best keeper in the league?

Burge 6 Now I thought first half he was assured but then has the moment of madness-lucky to not see red for the Pen.
Grimmer 8 Good all round and the assist for the goal too.
Stokes 8 much more solid-a refreshing change from the twit he replaced.
Willis 8 Back on his game after Tuesday.
Davies 9 Think I seen a jumbo jet go over the stadium and he jumped to head it away.
Bayliss 8 Great showing carrying it forward and settled our nerves with the early goal with a calm finish.
Doyle 8 Typical him in and amongst it winding them all up and clever quick free kick for the first goal.
Kelly 8 Good and clever use of the ball again and really now starting to show.
Shipley 8 Good Cross for Bayliss and great run to get to the back post for his goal.
McNulty 9 Mom A perfect placed header for the first, a chip for the second and a nice right foot curling effort for the third in front of the travelling fans to cap it off.
Biamou 8 Back to something like before he was out of the team and great overhead kick for his goal.

Subs
JCH 6 should have squared one for Ponticelli late on.
Ponticelli 6 Didn’t really affect much but got into the positions.
Reid 7 Retaining the ball welll on the left when Shipley ran out of steam.

Robbins 9 Got the perfect reaction after his “disgrace” on Tuesday.

They had 5 shots on target so good shot stopping.

Maybe since we can't win our throw ins MR gets Burge to purposely kick it out thinking we will win their throw ins.
How many times this year have we kicked it out from the kick off? MR tactics?

It’s a computer game. They have to pick a certain amount from each league I believe. If you look they’ve chosen Sol Bamba, Charlie Mulgrew and Alan Sheehan as the 3 centre backs

Yeah I get that but someone's made that choice. Gotta be someone better across the 3 leagues

Obviously equating our run of clean sheets early in the season with him being good rather than the defence

Surely anyone who scores a hat-trick deserves a 10.

He didn't claim everything, he dropped one cross in a really dangerous area and we were lucky to escape without conceding

Burge - 6 - Did great in the first half with a couple of crosses and half chances but we just needed to see off the first 15/20 minutes of the 2nd half as Cheltenham were always going to come out with a bit more impetus after a bollocking and just as we were nullifying that he threw the momentum back to them again.
Grimmer - 8 - Got 2 assists and didn't look so tired today. Thought he picked his time to attack well. Never going to be easy playing as a wing back in a back 4, which is what he effectively ends up doing.
Willis - 8 - Dealt with Eisa pretty well although I thought he and the big number 9 played into the hands of him and Davies by not swapping around too much e.g. like Rhead and Green did to Haynes/McDonald.
Davies - 9 - Exactly what the back 4 has been missing. Attacked every high ball and threw his body in the way of everything. +1 point for blocking a shot with his bollocks int he 2nd half.
Stokes - 7.5 - Made the back 4 look like a solid unit. Got forward too a few times.
Shipley - 8 - Goal and an assist and also pleasingly got beyond the strikers a few times, something we've missed from midfield all season.
Bayliss - 9 - After Kelly and Doyle had taken the sting out of the first 10 minutes through their hassle and work rate, his direct running put them completely on the back foot.
Doyle - 8 - Best game of the season with the ball at his feet and started 2 of the moves for goals with good passes along the actual floor. In the refs face ALL match, poor fella. Did not understand why he was getting so worked up about Eisa taking his penalty 5cm forward, was it really worth the booking?!
Kelly - 8.5 - Absolute engine on him and now he is allowed to play a bit higher up and most importantly has forward options to pass to that aren't 40 yards away he looks brilliant. Always did something with the ball - won a free kick or retained possession. He and Doyle were the Boxer's jab and body blows yesterday that softened up Cheltenham while the rest of the forwards took the credit for the knockout.
McNulty - 10 - Given him a 10 for the quality of his finishes, not just his hattrick. Could have got greedy in his pursuit of it but still played for the team.
Biamou - 8 - Decent stats for a striker in 2018 and pleased he gave a good performance when handed a start in a vital game.

Robins - 9 - That public bollocking really worked and he's finally found the formation to bring out the best in our players in their natural positions.

Ref - 9 - I thought he was blowing for everything in the first 10 minutes but ended up having a really good game and most of his decision were spot on (thought the Biamou booking was harsh though).

Burge 7 some decent saves and seemed to command his box well from crosses but kicking was poor throughout
Stokes 8 very solid defensively and offered a lot out on the left flank when attacking but did seem to drop off in second half
Davies 9 fantastic performance, cleared everything and won most things in the air against a striker taller than him
Willis 8 same old Willis, solid at the back especially on the cover for Grimmer and Davies but did seem to rush his clearances when he could have been a bit more composed and passed it out
Grimmer 8 very solid defensively, didn't do one of his normal defensive miss kicks and put two fantastic crosses in the box which resulted in two goals
Shipley 8 good game, great assist for first goal and a well composed finish but still don't think he's a winger as he likes to cut in to much or cut back and play it backwards to often but thankfully he had support from his full back this game
Kelly 10 absolutely fantastic performance, he controlled the game from the first minute to the last, was defensively solid throughout as well as aiding the attack
Doyle 8 solid performance but did make some sloppy passes in the second half
Bayliss 8 very similar to Shipley, had a very good game and took his goal very well but still not convinced he should be playing out wide
McNulty 10 phenomenal, 3 well taken goals and made some fantastic runs which generated some space for Biamou and the wide midfielders
Biamou 9 fantastic performance, won most things in the air and his link up play was very good plus he worked back fairly often and supported the defensive side of things

JCH and Ponticelli N/A didn't play enough to be given a rating
Reid 7 not much for him to do but good assist for McNulty's third

Burge 6 - annoying because he had a very good game other than that mistake.
Grimmer 8 - got forward well with little in front of him on the right. Nice to see him involved in the goals.
Willis 8 - dealt with Eisa well enough and set up a goal.
Davies 9 - man mountain.
Stokes 8 - solid.
Bayliss 9 - MOTM. Despite mcnulty's hattrick he was the best player on the park.
Doyle 8 - Looked better on the ball barring 1/2 errors. Involved in the goals as well.
Kelly 8 - Solid.
Shipley 9 - growing in confidence. Chipping in with goals and assists as well as working extremely hard.
Mcnulty 9 - weirdly seems to play better when he doesn't score. Superb hattrick.
Biamou 8 - gives us a different dynamic up there.

Can't really give the subs a rating as the game was over by that point.

Kelly 10?!! But he single handedly got Leyton Orient relegated?!!

Why are you obsessed with him?
You add more comments about Biamou to a match thread when he isn't playing than when he is. Every time JCH farts in the general direction of the ball you're over egging it to feed your own confirmation bias. You're in no place to talk about obsession.

I’m obsessed with defending one of our youth players from prejudiced I’ll inforned and unprofessional criticism. He’s just got in the efl team of the year and people are still at him. It’s insane
Uninformed.. fuck off! I watch him weekly. He isn't bad but he makes a hell of a lot of mistakes

Insane?

Ill informed criticism?

If you read properly the comments made about him you will see his saves are praised. But then you have the constant mistakes. This game was giving away a penalty. And we were lucky not to go down to 10 men. He is a professional footballer who can't kick a football. His decision making could be much better.

But yes you say he is a very good keeper because people who don't watch him play each week say he is the best. Maybe if the stats showed how many times he drops the ball, kicks it out of touch or just makes one of his mistakes were included he would be much lower rated by them.
