Portugal midfielder Adrien Silva will not be able to play until January, as Leicester's application to register the player on transfer deadline day was 14 seconds too late, FIFA have now rejected Leicester's appeal.
My thinking too, if they let this slide then unfortunately other clubs will have the same excuse in the future. But they have to draw the line somewhere, is 30 minutes ok? What about an hour?
Lots of forms, passport details, registration etc. Having read a bit, L**cester, had one document arrive late, by all accounts and FIFA have just said "computer says no".Whats the exact mechanism for registering players? You'd have to be extremely certain your times and records were spot on to reject something for being 14 seconds out. That seems well within a reasonable margin of error.

Even if its something 'instant' like email I'd say 14 seconds is too small a margin of error. If it went to court you'd have to prove the time stamp on the email was 100% accurate or if Leicester present something saying they sent it with 30 seconds to spare and the delay was after it left there end what happens?Yep, is it via e-mail or some sort of portal where the clubs connect in to send them over?

Could understand it if we were talking hours but 14 seconds is too fine a margin for me.
Tough shit six fingered inbreds!!
I believe they can appeal to The European Court of Arbitration but not sure.
Ok m8, will do....Ask Sisu, I'm sure they will know
