Yes - he was excellent. In a first half where it was pretty difficult to play due to the wind - he controlled what came to him in the air and either held up and laid off or flicked on. Still think he is under-rated and an easy target to criticise. ..Was a very important player today !!

As far as I'm concerned With Platt you always get exactly what it says on the tin. Big ball winner, puts in the effort, not a lot of pace or goal threat. Does well with a fast "nippy" kin of player. I've always thought he was alright, never set the league alight, but can do a job!

With him being initially credited with one of the goals, I didn't realise telekinesis was one of his qualities.

First standing ovation for a player leaving the field in a long long time.

He was as good as he could be, and fulfilled his role of target man well. But he did also make possibly the two worst passes by a CCFC player since the days of Julian Darby! The outside of the foot one 2nd half by the touchline was hilariously bad! I can imagine lots of fans didn't see it, but it was right in front of me, and a player is automatically disqualified from M.O.M. when they display such stunning non-footballing prowess IMO!

all players make those mistakes, just look at Keogh today, he fluffed it up a few times and almost gifted them a goal with a really bad short pass, still my player of the year though :)

Yes..was near me also. Funniest show of non footballing ability seen for a long time...i'll let him off though and put it down to him being knackered.

Oh yeah, I'll let him off alright: I know his limitations, and he's always giving 100%, just heard a few texts on CWR saying he was M.O.M. and figured that they must have been on the other flank to me!

I think Noel Whelan was talking him up on radio must be listening fans texting in.

In my view Platt was OK, won lot of balls in the air & laid them off well, very helpful in defence, but was very mediocre on the ball & slow, don't expect him to turn anyone in the box & slot it home soon.

And what a poor attempt at time wasting just before he went off. He began walking away from the dugouts, making us believe it was Nemily who was going off, only to turn round and see his number, Then the ref gave the usual 'Come on, hurry up' signal, and Platt just continued to walk :D

On a note about time wasting, its good to see our ball boys clicking onto the time wasting game. The one in the middle of the CET stand pissed off Coyne a bit, taking his time to recover the ball, then throwing it back on to the field but in the opposite direction of Coyne. Well played that ball boy. There was also one by the Jewsons stand who threw the ball over the Boro player who was trying to stop him time wasting. Fair play to those lads (or lasses, although im sure they were both lads)

Ah, the classic "opinion based on someone else's opinion" text/call: I can never understand why people who didn't go up ring in or nominate M.O.M. unless perhaps they have complete faith in Eakin & Foster. Which isn't advisable!

Keogh told the ballboy on his flank to slow it down a couple of times, which he also did against Bristol C. Sly dog :D

Platt made one fantastic piece of skill/ball control in the first half, it was played up to him just below knee height and he flicked it/cushioned it right into Nimley's path with the side/heel of his boot.

I'd rather them playing off Lukas, ta! And Mifsuds first touch was abject.

Football fans: animals who see what they are predisposed to see. Example A: Platt puts in a very tidy performance up front and gets called on making the two worst passes since Julian Darby. Objection.
