Thought I'd try a positive thread. What are people's plans for tomorrow?

I'll be starting early in Earlsdon with my dad, few Brew XI's in the Albany Social.
Taxi to the Wheatsheaf, bottles of whatever they've got as the beer is on its arse in there.
Maybe a quick one in the R.A.O.B then on to the ground.

I'm actually excited and I hope the feeling lasts at least until 3:25pm tomorrow.

You should try some of the beer in Bournemouth if you think the Wheatsheaf is bad.

£3.50+ a pint and flat as a pancake.

To answer your thread though, leaving around 6 am, be in Cov by 8.30/9.

Pick up my little cousin (it's her first game :) ), and her ticket from the Ricoh, then a few pubs, few beers and gotta have something from the chippy (food is 10000% better in Cov too)

At home with feet up on recliner shouting at the laptop. Pissed off with life at moment. Had lots of time off work which was planned so I could get pre season and the first few games of the season. But need my left leg up nearly all the time. My bus is an automatic but can't get my foot up for the long journey

Meet our kid at new st around 12, couple in the Shakespeare then train & taxi to the casino for a few more and flutter before going in.

Only took in a few last season after 15 ofd years of a season ticket, willing to forgive/forget the abysmal Doncaster home and away performances that stuck in the memory and start afresh.

If we look like trying 100% week in week out then a season ticket may be on the cards.

PUSB.

Can't wait, really can't.

We were away this week and on the way home we did the Old Trafford stadium tour. The guide asked if we were all MUFC fans and they all wear - even the Chinese visitors apparently - apart from us. When I said we were Coventry fans he started going on about our win in the Cup and Mifsud. He also said that the head tour chap at Old Trafford was a Wigan fan and was coming down tomorrow.

The OT pitch looked amazing but sure ours will look better tomorrow. Theirs is 3% fake grass by the way.

I've had a rubbish signal up in the Lakes so all I could really do was "like" the odd post. It has made me laugh though all the hysteria over Waggott, etc.

Positive we'll get a win tomorrow.

We were near Ambleside; is that near you?

The journey back was horrendous, took hours. Especially the dreaded J11-J8 stretch.

It is about 30 mins away. Can be longer this time of year though. Bloody tourists ;) I could have also sorted you out free parking in many places through the Lakes.

And welcome to my journey to the Ricoh :D That is why I leave between 5am and 6am.

Definitely odd ;)

Only joking :) honestly can't see how anyone watches CCFC sober

To be honest, the best bit about the day is beers and chatting with friends/family before the game IMO, as from 3.01 it's usually hell

Traveling back from Scotland. Should be in radio range for the start of the match.

Looking forward to a beer around 5 pm, hope it is a sweet one.

Tired and tested routine of:

Few ales in The Greyhound
Walk to the ground
Quick bet (hopefully there will be places in the ground again this year)
Increased build up of adrenaline as the ground fills and players enter the field
Listen to numerous "kick it forward" shouts
Leave the game questioning how we can dominate a game but still lose.

Wife told me I can have car for the match ( to prevent alcohol intake - sneaky, these women).

Probably over early to Ricoh, as I have bought match package, which I haven't 'swapped' for ticket as only got back from Italy last night. Trying to sort out with mate how to exchange them without having to get caught in a City style queue debacle (where it takes an hour to process a hundred people:D). Sure it'll be alright on the night, but uncomfortable about watching the first game stone cold sober. Hopefully my analysis of who played well/badly will be less prejudiced than the usual lager biased opinion. Peroni going in the freezer as we speak to take edge off pre-match tension!

Couple in the Three Horse Shoes then a couple more in the Wheatsheaf then in the ground for kick off. I drink in both pubs all year round so usual routine on a Saturday but with football as an added bonus during the season.Well I hope it's a bonus this season !

Reading these posts I don't think it should be lost this time last year we couldn't do any of this. We were still in Northampton so instead of all the politics etc around Northampton forget that for a second and actually reading genuine fans on where they drink and their Cov routines. No matter how crap we are this thread should be appreciated and you know we all love our match routines. In Northampton we couldn't do any of this.

Brings a smile to my face again.
