They were common in my day and also great fun and 90% of the time harmless, although i recall a few that were anything but friendly, but my question is, will their be one Tuesday.

Anyone who goes on pitch Tuesday should be shot.

Remember even at full time it's only half time!

Pitch invasion if we win the away leg (and go through!) is necessary!

Wembleys the place to do it as it means we've won the competition!

Doubt the cockney stewards will be as poorly organised our lot though so getting on that pitch is highly unlikely*

*i by no means encourage such behaviour

Pitch invasions are pathetic, why anyone feels the need to swarm the pitch is beyond me. I always cringe when I see them.

It does make you wonder doesn't it?
Some think its a "human right" to behave in what much of the populous would regard as a loutish &/or over-the-top manner.
Maybe it SHOULD be a "Human right" to celebrate in such excessive(?) ways so long as no harm is done? You know like London2012; HM The Queen's celebrations? "They" (the establishment) want us to share in theirs.
Very political stuff, eh??? Lol

Wonder how many heroes would suggest a pitch invasion if we were playing millwall/Leeds with 4000 of um wanting a bit?

They are embarrassing full stop

Running on the pitch leaves you open to all sorts, from the authorities, could be ignored, but doubtful, could be arrested and let off, could be cautioned or prossecuted leaving you open to being banned from games for 3 years minimum thats mandatory if foung guilty of an offence at a football match. No Wembley then. Could be identified and arrested weeks later.

I do remember in the early 70s Cov fans running from the South Bank terrace to the North Bank at Wolves for a scrap. Ask you dads and grandads if they were there.

I was there and remember it well. Probably a 1000+ fans on the pitch. Seemed funny whilst the Wolves fans were in retreat, but then it all turned round and the City fans were chased back down to the South Bank. I was only a kid, did not join in, just watched and hoped that it would all stay a safe distance away.
In hindsight, not surprising that, some years later, we all ended up watching our football through metal fences.

I'm pretty sure many of you who have turned their noses up, went on the pitch at Highfield Road after the Derby game, and also all those last day escapes back in the 80's and nineties,
Any hypocrites out there ?
Anyway I wasn't condoning or suggesting the idea just wondering if it was likely? Clearly not !

It wasn't an illegal/punishable offence then...I personally only object to pitch invasions due to the mindless morons who use it (even in celebration) to goad the opposing fans into a fight. The goaders usually run-off though - to leave some innocent to take a kicking instead. There's also the pitch damage & cost of repair. Back in the day the pitch was much closer to the standard of the local park & needed little attention. To maintain the quality of today's pitches takes a lot more resource.

^ it still was iligal & pubushable then. Highfield road actually had signs up saying '£1000 fine if you enter the pitch' but it wasn't going to happen on the last day with EVERY fan on the pitch. I was explaining 'invasions' to the wife recently with her not really in to football (apart from what I put on TV) she hadn't really seen/heard of it properly. So I shown her man city's at the end of last season & I pointed out that just like at highfield road. Once you get on the pitch.. You feel/look like a muppet. As you have nowhere to go. So you run around in circles like a child..

It would be utterly embarrassing.

Sadly I can still see some morons trying it.

I have ran onto the pitch a couple of times. Each time was when we needed to win to have a chance of staying up. Not done it for a lot of years now.

The only good thing would be seeing them overweight orange jacketed apes running around

Walked onto the pitch in 85 when we needed to win to stay up,was by the dugout so it was a few steps onto it.

Yeah, lets have a pitch invasion!!
A big heafty fine is just what the club needs at a time when we are raising our profile, and performing better than we have done since arriving at the Ricoh..Don't Harm the Club

Heafty fine for a pitch invasion? What a joke. How much were Man City fined last season? Pointless for the first leg anyway, when we win the away leg, I don't see any harm in it.

Must be scary as a player to see thousands of players running at you who could be either wanting to congratulate you or whack you!

The alltime winner for originality has got to be the "AYATOLLAH" from the Cardiff City Fans.
