Whatever he had done from here he could not improve on winning the world cup and being one of the better players had a better world cup than Messi for me!
It's got to the stage where he's absolutely miles ahead of any other full back atm, he's both the best right back and the best left back in the world. He had the chance to get an absolutely enormous number of caps but captaining a world cup win isn't a bad way to bow out.
