Big game.

Posh scoring for fun and sit top.

Is Plan B the new Plan A?

Got draw written all over it.
McFazdean older head was important when he came on v Fleetwood and added an sense of confidenceand direction. Must start. Hyam looked tired for me.
Kelly also lifted the side so must start. If Godden can't play then Max who holds the ball up well is a good option. Shipley needs resting.

Decent record against the Posh but not a great find to play them given the form they’re currently in. That being said, we do tend to raise our game against the better sides. It’d be a big statement if we could come away with 3 points but the pessimist in me says we are going to be overturned 2-0.

Kelly must start, I’d bring Mason back in and perhaps stick with the formation that worked so well in the second half last night. Really hoping Godden is fit to start against his old side too.

Tough one against a team scoring for fun....

2-1 home win I feel but hopefully we can do a job on them. They are much stronger than last year when we outplayed them at London Road.

Smaller following than there should be due to the ticket prices I guess, 1600 tops I’d imagine.

Easy with this game to get caught in how to deal with Toney, Eisa and Maddison than concentrate on our strengths and end up beating ourselves. I think the 2nd half formation might work well against it, especially if Kelly adds that bit extra protection in front.

If Mason will be fit there is still a bit of a conundrum on who to pick. Against a good attack Mason is arguably the stronger defensively but either would be fine. Also will three quick games in succession be a bit much for McCallum at this stage?

I've kept Westbrooke in ahead of Walsh and Shipley. Walsh is making mistakes and Shipley may be useful as a sub with his energy levels. I'm hoping Kelly can last the 90mins as he seems to control games without moving around too much.

And before I get the replies of "are you mad?" I'm starting Baka and Hiwula up top rather than Biamou because Biamou is still coming back to fitness and I think as an impact sub against tiring legs will work to his advantage by evening out the fitness issue and thus hopefully reduce the chance of any reaction. Sounds like Godden will be out a while.

___________Marosi
_____Hyam__Fadz__Rose
Dabo__________________McCallum
____O'Hare__Kelly__Westbrooke
_______Baka_____Hiwula

Subs: Wilson, Williams, Mason/Watson, Shipley, Walsh, Kasta, Biamou

I think it could be an exciting game but I'm going for a 3-2 loss.

EDIT: Just realised there may be doubts over Hiwula's fitness which kind of stuff's the entire thing up and Biamou would have to start with Bremang probably on the bench. Wouldn't think he'd be ready to start but if would definitely catch P'Boro off guard.

Marosi
Dabo Hyam McFadzean Rose Mason
Kelly
O’Hare Westbrooke
Biamou Baka

Mason in for McCallum, HAS to play when fit, ‘P4P’ he’s arguably our best player.

For me, Liam Kelly’ forced his way back infront of Walsh now with that performance last night. O’Hare one of the first names on the teamsheet for obvious reasons and Westbrooke to play ahead of Shipley as he should be full of confidence after the peno and a much better second half than the first where he gave away/lost the ball numberous times. On a slight tangent, it looks like we’ll have at least 1 maybe 2 more than we need in CM when Allen’s back, even when playing the 3 in midfield. Is Allen the O’Hare type? I’ve never seen him play.

This formation gives us the chance to drop Hiwula. Concerning that Robins indicated that the only reason he came off was because of an injury, this implies to me that he’ll probably fit him in no matter what if fit. He’s played 3 shockers in a row, couldn’t care less if he’s a confidence player, the fact is that he’s the weak link at the minute and needs to be benched and then be made to work to get back into the team.

Looks like Godden is out now for a while so Baka and Biamou are the next best option we have. Baka scored so won’t be dropped, despite being poor for the most part of the game. Biamou had a good game when he came on and should only get better with match fitness now.

Can see a draw here 1-1 which would be a good result. Defensively we’re pretty solid (bar Rotherhamgate), as shown in the last 10/15 last night. Peterborough will find us a lot more difficult to breakdown than the teams they’ve recently been free-scoring against.

I know the idea of Biamou after last night is nice but he wouldn't last more than 30 minutes before he needed to come off.

Same side that finished last night, with the same attitude we should at least get a decent draw, even a marginal win. But if MR starts with the same bunch that started last night, then we're in deep doo doo! We won't turn it around again in the 2nd half like last night.

Agree G can’t see Biamou starting & can’t see Godden being fit,if Hiwula is out who plays left ? We haven’t got anyone to play right so imagine O’Hare will be pushed wide

————— —Marosi————————
Dabo Rose McFadzean Hyam Mason
————Westbrooke Kelly——————

Strikers depend on fitness:
Godden if fit, with Max if he can but unlikely, probably used as a sub. Assuming Max can’t start I’d play Baka with Godden. If Godden isn’t fit, it'd be Hiwula who also may not be fit.

Maybe Hiwula and baka start upfront???? Then bring max on second half... Jordi might be better as a striker

Likely no Godden or Hiwula due to injury so I'm guessing Bapaga or Kastaneer to come in. Would Keep Mcallum over mason if we go for 3-5-2. Kelly to come back in for Walsh or Shipley. Like The idea of Biamou and Baka, I actually had optimism when the ball was crossed

Really tough game - couldn't be playing them at a worse time given their current form. That said we do tend to play better against the better teams. I would stick with the bulk of the team that finished yesterday, although Biamou might not be fit enough to start so might he then go with Hiwula if fit, or my preference of playing O'Hare in 'the hole' just behind Bakayoko. The starting XI would therefore be something like:
Marosi
Rose Mcfadzean Hyam
Dabo Kelly Mason
Westbrooke Walsh or Shipley
O'Hare
Bakayoko

If the players you mentioned are out we can’t go with 433 with them wide players one is hardly fit & the other has hardly any experience robins will have to change it I hope to the system that finished yesterday,McFadz adds something if he can cut the bullshit out

From the 85 minute mark of their last game to full time they equaled our goal output from our last 4 games. In the second half of their last game they doubled our goal output of our last 4 games. In their last 5 league games they’ve scored 5 times as many goals as us in our last 5 league games.

Heavy defeat for me. Best we can hope for is a score draw.

Play the team that finished vs Fleetwood. They are very capable of scoring goals as they have shown this season but they can also concede. Give Max a start with Baka with Ohare just behind.

Head says they win, my heart says we get a huge result.
On balance, I'll go for 2-2

Robins did say Hiwula had a knock so brought him off, if he’s fit I reckon he’ll start same formation as always with perhaps Kelly starting and if needs be will go 5-3-2 second half. If Hiwula is out he might start with Wednesdays second half format atleast there is s plan B that we know works.

Can we get away with 3 at the back away against a free scoring team?
If only two at the back, which two?
But, in the absence of having any wingers are we forced to play 3 at the back?
Is O'Hare's best position behind a front 2?
If it is the case that we need 2 up front or else we don't score, which is the best combination?
McCallum or Mason at left back?
If Kelly and O'Hare are in midfield, which of Shipley, Walsh and Westbrooke gets dropped?

As far as I can work out only Marosi in goal and Dabo at right back are the only two absolute certainties. Can't remember when in the last 3 years the team has been so unsettled, yet we are 4th. Who'ed be a manager?

5 at the back with our current injuries, we have no wingers, Mason as he is better defensively, I have no idea which midfielder with Kelly and O’Hare.
