How he ended up in international management in the job afterwards is quite astonishing

All ranson was interested in was saving his own skin by hawking Prozone on some club at wonga rates of interest. He tried several others before ending up here.

He was never interested in the club and utterly lacking in ability to make anything a success

Is that the "stupid project" you mean? Or do you mean bringing in Coleman and signing the likes of Morrison, Westwood, Gunnarson, Did and Dann in an effort to get promoted?

The 09/10 season with Coleman we were in the playoffs after winning at Peterborough (Stead) in March and we ended up 19th didn’t we!

I was just making the comparison of yesterday's win and the feeling after the 2010 when Stead scored the winner in front of us. Let's hope it doesn't fall away again like last time. I was at the Reading away game a few weeks later, we were 3-0 down after 30 mins and it was clear then that the season would end badly.

But I still get angry that CC was sacked after that terrible run-in in spring 2010. To listen to some of ours fans, he was a shite manager who never did anything for us or for anyone else. Criminally underrated as a manager. If MR leaves I'd have him back in a heartbeat, but chance would be a fine thing....

He was fucking atrocious here, he should have been sacked in the summer of 2008.

You gave him credit for signing Fox and Dann when they were both signed under Dowie!

Hadn't realised this....checked back and yes they both arrived about 3 weeks before CC.

Say what you like, my own view his time here was a kind of golden age, certainly compared with what happened in League One!

I'd rather have Russell Slade back with Andy Thorn has his assistant.
