to be fair it might of been. but IMO he won the ball. maybe that was a yellow (in current yellow/red cards) but the 2nd challenge wasnt

The ball was heading towards Clarke! The keeper knew this and so charged out to claim it. Had Clarke not been where he was the keeper would have been under a lot less pressure and therefore would probably have been more composed in dealing with it. So IMO Clarke was interfering.
I agree. He was the target of the cross and the reason the keeper came out and the defender he collided with was tracking Clarke, thus he was interfering with play.

I agree with most of this, although I'll add Wells could have also been give offside for his second goal

but when a ball goes through a player who's offside, and the goals given, is that interfering? IMO, clarke was nowhere near the ball, therefore not interfering
