This season in the championship it is near on impossible to get a penalty from an infringment and I for one am pleased. We are not the premiership with TV scrutiny at every moment, this is the physical diehard championship. Last night there were two 'modern day' incidents with Sheff Utd where even our fans thought it was a penalty but because of the theatricals and blatant diving referees have no alternative than to dismiss any physical call for a penalty. As we saw against M'boro we got a penalty for hand ball and that seems the only way you get a penalty these day and good on it. The championship is blood and thunder and if the ref gave penalties for every physical challenge it would mean results would be 6-5 with 4 penalties each. The refs are doing the best job by completely ignoring any claim.

You don't want lots of soft penalties every time a player goes down in the box, but some of the ones we haven't got this season have been silly.

MvE against Charlton and EMC against Birmingham were particularly outrageous, though the latter the ref was unsighted.

I know it’s not quite your point but They weren’t penalties last night.
The first, EMC didnt pull him back or push him over, it’s not a non-contact sport.

The 2nd one. There was a video angle shown a couple of times where you can see him dive.

*if I watch them back again and change my mind that’s allowed too!

Campbell genuinely dived, or if I'm being generous, slipped. And that's taking aside that I detest the guy.

However look at some of the ones we've had not given this season. MVE was literally wrestled to the floor yards from goal and it's not even deemed a foul.

No it isn't, you watched them and came to the conclusion that neither were penalties so no need to waste time watching them again

I personally hope they were both stonewall penalties.

Fuck ‘em.

Neither ‘incident’ was a penalty last night.

Wilder said in his interview that he said to Ty , don't mug me off I'm about to do a post match interview. Was there contact?

Surely that's how the referee saw it to. Uncertainty.

He also said my team last year would of won that. Get over yourself man ...show some dignity.

The first one, Mason-Clark puts his arm on their player but its not enough contact to go to ground so never a pen.

The second one, Thomas swings his leg out, clumsily, and Campbell see's his chance to go down after he knocked the ball too far forward. There was *some* contact with Thomas's foot but he had already started to go down.
