Where did this story first surface? I know it seems very unlikely but any chance it's a council deliberate leak to try and get Wasps to play the game a bit more. Political pressure of sorts?

I think it came from a Council meeting where Mutton said it.

Council admits it released the wrong figures on the losses and people wonder why sisu keep trying

I would believe the term is called caught out

The council had agreed to pay £135,000 for the three acts to perform at the Ricoh gigs.

When those shows were switched to Godiva, the fee remained the same.

But only £35,000 of this was included in the overall Godiva costs

A whopping £100,000 has therefore not been factored into their figures, the council admitted.

I wonder how much that will be dug into.
