Presumably because we had no idea if a player who hadn’t played any meaningful football for four months was fit enough to contribute.

Yeah it’s a bit of a weird signing. Though I expect if he’s been training with us he’s been getting up to speed. But once EMC and Wright are back I don’t see where he fits in other than giving others a rest.

It's a sensible and logical signing. No fees, wages likely not astronomical, short term commitment, seemingly good to have around the place, experienced Championship player etc.

Agreed, with the caveat that the people saying this is already done could very well be talking out of their anus'.
Probably best to wait for an announcement from the club at this point.
